Shadman Restaurant was shut down by health inspectors due to some outstanding health hazards and violations that the restaurant had. The restaurant reopened on Friday, August 31, 2007, at approximately 5PM without any further re-inpsection or approval of reopening. The police was called and was told about the situation. The police arrived and the people who were behind the counter simply told the cops that they were just cleaning. Well, my question is if they were cleaning then why was the food out?? Why was their open sign reading open?? Why were their people sitting inside and eating food??

It doesn't make any sense to me at all. But the thing that didn't make sense at all was that the cops came and didn't even question what they were told when they saw the food out... Well the point is that the health of the customers is at risk here and the restaurant should be given fines and closed for reopening without correct re-inspection. The funny part is that the restaurant did not open before 5PM because they knew that it is Labor Day weekend and that they can't be stopped now because all the health inspectors are off on a long weekend.

It's not fair and I think something should be done to close the restaurant and have the health of the customers be benefited.
