I broke my foot while on the job. As soon as I got of work I went to the ER and they ER doctor said it is broken you need to see a Orthopedic doctor and stay off of your foot. I notified my boss and I was told to come in the next day and fill out some paperwork. My boss took me to see their workmans compensation doctor. He told them that I DID NOT need to return to work but to stay off of foot. My boss took the doctor outside and then the doctor came back in and his exact words were" Nah, you will be ok to return to work." My job set up a light duty and expected me to drive when it was clearly noted fro0m each doctor that I CAN NOT DRIVE. The companys doctor said that he spoke to my boss and it was made clear that the company would make arrangements to pick me up, , , which they have not and my wife can not drive me 45 miles one way with my four month old doctor. All of my check would just be covering gas..I got a second opinion and was told that no I need to see an orthopedic doctor and since October i have been seeing doctors that told me that I now may have to have surgery. My job is not calling me so I take it i am fired. I turned in to them all my doctors appointments on days that I missed and yet still no phone calls. Everyday I missed has been excussed from doctors examing my broken foot and ankle
