April 01, 2010 I moved into a upper unit a home ( 1248 Edgewood rd Birmingham MI) that was divided into 2 units, upper/lower. rental was $670 per and I gave them 1st last and secuity in cash.($1, 675) Before I moved in I supplied Sharenet with list of things that need to be repaired in order to live properly in the unit.(ie. entrance door could not be secured, no smoke alarms, toilet did not work correctly and drains were cloged. and there was not breaker box in the unit but in the lowwer unit so if something went electricly there was nothing I could do to re connect electric. Sharenet did not correct the problems and only door was repaired. 6 weeks later. during this period I was informed that the lower unit would available on May 15th.On May 05, I via email and phone advised the owner and Sharenet ( management company my desire to move to the lower unit. It was agreed via the owner instruction to sharenet that they would use my security and last month for the upper unit and cancel the least for the upper and prepare a new lease for the lowerunit. I moved to the lower unit on the 28th of May as per agreement but share refused to honer the owners wishes and use my deposit for rent and cancel my lease. They also started to (Mr.Knapke) leave threatning voice mails about my well being and said they were in charge not the owner . I went to the police and filed a complaint regarding the threats. and proceded to move to the lower unit as per the owners autherasation. ( in writting).
the understanding was that I would receive a new lease and security deposit and reduced rent for re-painting and making repairs needed to the lower unit.the month of June would be free with a new lease comencing on July 01, 2010. and I would become property manager. the owner would no longer use Sharenet. On Monday June 28 I received a call from thwe owner whom lives in California that I could proceed to renovate the lower unit and my rent would be $950. in reduction for my added services and a lease would be ready on TuesdayJuly 6, 2010. I had all my utilties transfererd to the lower unit in May and was in process of re doing the unit...the problem the owener had that he did not receove monies from the upper as agreed and Sharenet would not release. and siad they did not have them.
On Friday 2nd July Mr Knapke turned with the police stating I was trespassing and had to move back to the upper unit in 24 hours. I was not given the right to validate to the police the documents giving me the right to be in the lower unit...I wnt to the police once again and filed a complaint against Mr.Knapke for giving false statement to the police..I have moved back to the upper unit and still receive threatinig calls from Mr Knapke..I have grest consern for my well beingand feel Mr knakpe has pocketed the funds allocated for the rent to the owner...and has cause me great duress and hardship... I am 66 years of age and this has caused me uneeded stress and has interfered with my lively hood as I work from home. I have all documents recording the agreements from both the owner and Sharenet Realty.I have spoke to other whom live in other aptartments his manages and they to have had major problems with thsi firm Sharenet.I pray something fcan be done to correct this injustice and missuse of clients funds..as I know that MLS is a good firm and Share uses his status with MLS to convience he is represents as member MIL correctly...which he does
not hopefuly this can be investagated ans who know home many other he has done this too...
