I purchased this steam iron the middle of October. I didn't use it until I was visiting in New York. When I tried to open the water inlet door on the iron it wouldn't open. Finally the whole assembly came out. I filled the tank and managed to get the inlet door back in. It still doesn't open properly. The gasket looks defective. I've have tried calling the number on the box numerous times and all I would get is a busy signal. No matter when I might make the call. Today after many trys I keep getting the busy signal, then finally it rang normal and a recording answered and ask for my zip code and phone number. Then I would be cut off. I'd call back and get the busy signal several more times, Then I got the recording again after a period of time and then after the same point I would be cut off again. I have tried to find something on the internet but haven't had any luck. I finally got so frustrated I found your complaint form. My year warranty will be up before I can tell anyone of my problem with the iron. It is the 1500 Watt Shark Rapido Electronic Iron with the code 6 2235651766 9. I don't think I should have to pay to ship it back to the company as it has been defective ever since I bought it. It doesn't steam very well but that may be due to the inlet cover being bad. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated. I sent in the registration card to them.
