gas pump hose
simple complaint.i unknowingly absent minded drove off with the gas pump and was charged right then and there $550.00 cash money i had for bills.This he said would cover repair.later speaking to chevron employee she told me hey dont charge for such a thing. That sort of thing happens frequently 3 times a week she said. all they d is put the hose back on. Im a father of 3 living on a fixed income and i need some advise. i wish knew whom to speak to on this matter. crdragonblack@ yahoo...yeah christmas is just around the corner...

Ignorant Employee
I went to this Shell station as I often do, to purchase the local newspaper and on occasion, I buy a lottery ticket. On this day, I held the newspaper in my hand, and passed the employee 2 quarters for the paper and a scratch ticket that was clearly scratched and it was a two dollar winner. I told the clerk "This is for the paper, and I'll have one more of these. (the ticket)" He rang up the 50 cents, then held up the ticket and went (loudly) EEHHH?? This startled me, I asked what? Again..EEHHH? Again, I told him I wanted one more. He asked "same wuh" I said yes. He finally found the ticket and passed it through the window. I told him he needs to learn more English in order to deal with the public.

Was he hired just to satisfy the Latino Community here in Lynn?
What about those of us who are hardworking AMERICANS, you know, the ones who actually pay the taxes that pay for their welfare and food stamps because they ONLY want to work 20 hours a week.and can't support all their kids and relatives on this pay? Must we be subjected to THIS dumbing down of America every time we make a purchase? I for one am going to start complaining every time I run into such things. If I couldn't do my job properly, I would not be hired in the first place and I would be fired if I was there. Oh ... I forgot, he can't be fired, STUPID as he is, that would be discrimination!

Not returning correct cash change
Three times in the past two months I have not received correct cash change at this Shell gas station (corner of Oxford & Waterloo Streets, London, Ontario) - one of those times I challenged the cashier (same man all three times) and was given the rest of my cash change with the comment of "its only $.25. All three times the missing change ranged from $.05 to $.50. This is not a lot of money but the attitude from this cashier is one of "it's just small change" but if this happens on a regular basis with many customers then it is more than small change.

Does not accept debit card
I entered a Shell station after noticing I had forgotten to refill the previous day. I had been at this station withing a month before. I inserted my debit card and was then asked if it was a debit card. After pushing Yes I received a message saying that debit cards were not accepted and the a very rude message saying transaction canceled. End of transaction. I live on cash, no credit wanted. They didn't even have a sign saying that debit cards were no longer accepted, wasting my time. I went across the street and haed no problems at that station. I will not return to ANY Shell again.

verbal abuse, assault
I always go to this specific shell gas station to buy my cigarettes and to get food from the attached restaurant. If I need gas, I get gas too. My brother buys cartons of cigarettes there too. My mom buys her cigarettes and gas there too. The shell is on the border of the next county, so this shell station has much lower cigarette prices.

This shell station is located on Lake Street in Hanover Park, IL near the Elgin O'Hare entrance ramp. I go in there often, and one particular employee is always giving me dirty looks. I have been using thank you, have a nice day, and other pleasantries to try and win him over. However, today at approx 12:20 A.M., he was very mean. He would not sell me a slushy, and the machine was full of slushy ice and rotating in both sides. Attempting to learn of its status, he told me that, "I am not going to tell you four times."

When I purchased the cigarettes, he threw the change on my hand. It flung off, and he was not looking at where it went. He did not hand me the cigarettes, but put them by the register almost half way across the register's counter. I grabbed the cigarettes, and kinda stood there shocked. He looked up and asked me, "Do you have a problem?" I told him that is was his attitude. He said, "Don't even." Then I started walking out, and as I was walking out he said it loud enough for to hear, "Fuckin blah blah blah." I could not hear the rest. I turned around and asked what he said, and he repeated "I said don't even."

I said not that, what did you say after that. He said, "nothing" or something. I said you swore at me. Then he said, "I did not say shit, how about that!" I replied saying you7 swore at me again. Then he told me to, "Leave, and do not come back when I am here." Even then, I did not return insult, yelling, or anything.

Needless to say, I am really angered about this guy's treatment. He would not sell me a slushy, kicked me out, and swore at me, for no reason.

pump authorization
Last friday night I pirchased gas at the pump and went inside to get the reciept. I drive a 2004 chevy monte carlo and only put $20.00 worth of gas in the car. When I went to use my amex card a few days later I was informed there was not enough room on it. I called the credit card co. who informed me that shell had asked for a pre aproval of $99.00 on the card and that is why I had no room left. I called shell and informed them that this was not right and they informed me that it was my credit card co. who had done this to me and that it was not there problem. I knew how much room was available on my card and had only put $20 in it because that is all I could afford . A gas station no matter if pay at the pump or inside should not be allowed to ask for mor than you recieve. This can cause people to have over the limit fees. I was just passing through this town and needed the gas, I will never get gas at shell again and will never pay at the pump again. This should be considered some form of fraud and should not be allowed to continue to happen.

Lack of Service
My wife who is handicapped went to the shell station today and was trying to fill her car and was not able to use the equipment so she had to go inside the store and ask for help. The fellow came out and stuck the hose in her tank and turned it on and left. The wife was told not to do anything until it stopped and was left standing there waiting for the gas to shut off. Seems it turned off early only giving her 7 gallons of gas when the car was empty. She tried again to make it work herself and being unable to she ended up leaving the station with only the 7 gallons of fuel instead of the 18 Gallong she needed. She has a plackard stating she is handicapped and should not have to pump her gas to start with let alone have to go find someone to help her. We use this station all the time but it is usually myself who pumps the gas. If this is the kind of stervice she is going to get when she goes in by herself we will probably end up going to another brand of fuel who will offer her the help she needs.

Cleanliness
On this date of 7.30.08 @ 0910, I stopped in to a local Shell gas station (I-20 and Clemson Road) to use the facilities and obtain a drink. I was appauled at the appearance of the restroom, no water to flush, smelly, soap dispenser ripped off the wall and laying on the filthy counter top. And then, when obtaining my soft drink from the fountain, the cups were falling on the floor, lids were strewn and not organized and then as I checked out the attendant was preoccupied with her breakfast before even acknowledging me. Additionally, the trash containers (large ones) were running over in the parking lot with trash and not to say that the small containers and the ash tray at the entrance to the store were over flowing as well. I bring this to your attention as a former manager of such an establishment (Pilot) and could not local Shell management address these specific issues so as not to bring such a "bad light" to your company and to provide better customer service? Thank you for your time.
