10/23/2009 - Opted in for Free Trial Subscription through E-miles opportunities
11/4/2009 - Responded to email asking to CANCEL subscription
11/10/2009 - Mailed back bill for $9.95 with word "CANCEL" on it
11/23/2009 - Responded second time via email to CANCEL
Note: Never received trial magazine or "free gift". It has been over 3 months and no magazines were ever delivered.
REQUESTED ACTION: Cancel account with Debt Collector, NSA, to remove outstanding amount due of $9.95 for magazines I never subscribed to and never received. Remove all contact information from your database.
On 10/23/2009 I opted in to receive a Free Trial Subscription to Sherman's Travel Magazine, through E-miles.com opportunities. I never received anything but emails. I responded to 2 emails asking to be Cancelled and removed from your mailing list and that my contact information be deleted. I also responded to a bill I received in the mail with the word "CANCEL". I never received anymore bills or emails, and never received any magazines. Your terms state the following: "Receive a free trial issue without any further obligation. IF you like it, you'll become a charter subscriber and receive 5 more issues (that's 6 in all) for just $7.95. But, if for any reason you don't like it, just write "cancel" on the bill and keep the free issue as our gift to you."
I received a bill from a debt collector today for $9.95 for a magazine I never ordered, and never received. I never received any confirmation of the order, any response to the Cancellation request, or any response to my 2 emails requesting such.
I want my contact information completely deleted from your database and the account with NSA (North Shore Agency, Inc.) the debt collector to be cancelled immediately. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for fraudulent practices.
Thank you.
