Despite the valiant efforts of Ceclia of the El paso customer support team. I am exceedingly disappointed by the behavior of a ground delivery employee supervised by Willie Owens at the Mount, Vernon NY station. Today at 7:05. I attempted to chase down a truck after a hand written note on a fed ex express envelope was stuck on my door stating "Fed Ex was here for A1 Heather Lawrence" My bell was not rung. My package was not delivered but the message was clear. We do not respect you. This situation is after speaking personally to Mr. Willie Owens who promised that the package would be on the truck. Mr. Owens was kind to accommodate me with a 4th delivery due to errors in scheduling on someone else's part. On June second a customer service was informed that I would be out of town on the third and in that conversation I requested a seven o'clock delivery on Monday June 6, 2011. I was assured that the item could be delivered at seven - at the time I was not made aware that deliveries happened within a window.
Having a fed ex envelope with hand written note taped to the door by a delivery man wearing grey shorts and an undershirt feels disrespectful. It is my sincere hope that this behavior is not emblematic of the type of service Fed ex delivers to all of its Bronx consumers. You are a multinational corporation and the un professionalism of one driver should not soil your reputation. At this time I continue to be without a package. I am powerfully concerned about the type of employee that is comfortable playing with the reputation of your company. I am also working to find ways to address this with consumer organizations and Verizon the organization that contracted your services.
I will also make complaints written and by phone to Mr. Richard Reinhardt, Willie Owens' supervisor and Fed Ex corporate.
"We deliver for you" is the slogan I grew up connecting to Fed Ex. This is certainly not emblematic of the situation I experienced. The unprofessional nature of this exchange is surprised and disappointed by the negative and immature behavior of the driver in this circumstance. Why drive to my apartment and not deliver the package?
