i took my saturn vue in on saturday 10/23/10. i was having problems with the power steering-the steering wheel was hard to turn and there was a grinding noise when i tried to turn the wheel. i arrived at shirey cadillac at 1:40 p.m. they gave me a number and said they would let me know the problem within the hour. about an hour and a half later i was told that there was aproblem with the power steering and although they had the part to fix it - it would take sometime. iwas then asked if i had a way home, which i replied no and i have to get back to work. the serviceman asked if i wanted to bring the car back on monday - which i replied are you serious-are you telling me its safe to drive, can't i get a rental. the serviceman said enterprise was closed for the day.I asked if he could guarentee that my vehicle was safe to drive. the serviceman then said let me see what i can do. the service man came back 20 min later with a loaner(caddy), and said that our vehicle would be ready on monday morning. around 2:30 p.m. i finally received an e-mail that my car was ready-i started work at 2 p.m. so i could not go ge5t it so i sent my husband who brought the car home. i got off at 7 p.m. when my husband picked me up he said i needed to drive the car. i was in tears all the way home my car is destroyed i dont know what they did ton it but the original problem is still there with sooooooooooooooo many others its unsafe and undrivable. how could they say it was fixed i cant comprehend the danger they put my husband and myself in-how could they not tell how bad it is it grinds just driving now even more when i turn the wheel which is as stiff as hell as well as a sticking gas pedal. i called imediately when i walked in the door and donna answered the phone and did what she could to calm me but everyone was gone for the day so i was told to call tuesday at 7a.m. to have the car towed. i informed her i have jury duty i have to be in court at 9 a.m. i dont have the time to wait for a tow truck. i have to take a cab now because my vehichle is unsafe to drive. how could a cadillac no a gm. dealership let this happen i have trusted gm. for years and was seriously purchasing another this summer so i could pass on this saturn to my college bound daughter but the car is soooo messed up (its a 2008 i bought it brand new and it only has 15, 000 miles on it) i dont know what to do. i am going to give gm a chance to rectify this before i take this further but if you/they can not i will do what i have to until i have satisfaction.
