On Thu, 10 Sep at 5am, I ordered, for collection, and paid for (R699) a Microsoft Explorer Mouse. At 5:04am, I received a confirmation email. At 8:01am, I received an email that my order was confirmed and that payment was received.
On Fri, 11 Sep 2009 at 8:30am I arrived at Shop and Ship to collect my order. The order was not ready. This was a misunderstanding, since their system sends out several status updates. However, as a customer, I do not know that I need to wait for a different status update. To me they already sent two emails, the first receiving the order and the second confirming the order -- therefore being ready. This was annoying, since it was the weekend and I wanted the mouse before the weekend. I also drove through traffic for an hour to get there.
On Mon, 14 Sep 2009 at 9:45am I received a status update: 'Goods Ready For Collection'. However, I had been told on the phone to collect on the Friday after 3pm before 4pm??? At 4pm, after battling traffic, I arrived at Shop and Ship to collect. They presented me with what looked like a second-hand mouse, out of the packing in a plastic bag, inside a Logitech mouse box. This is totally unacceptable.
