Interview gone wrong
Recently i had an interview with the shoprite of Byram for a night position and was fired when i got my tag because they told me i didnt follow dress code. To my understanding at the bottom of the employee hand book which i was told to read stated that nightshift employees did not require a collard shirt, tie and shorts, It did not state we had to wear them for an orientaion so plz check your own rules again before you fire someone other poor soul on the first day.
PS. im sure you heard dont judge a book by its cover !

ACCUSED OF STEALING
CHECKING OUT WITH MY WIFE ON APRIL 25TH KATHRINE APPARENTLY A MANAGER FOR THIS STORE COMES UP BEHIND ME AN ANNOUNCES LOUD ENOUGH FOR TWO AISLES ON EITHER SIDE OF US TO HEAR "YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS STORE, HAVEN'T WE THROWN YOU OUT BEFORE" I HAD NEVER SEEN THIS WOMAN BEFORE IN MY LIFE AND TOLD HER SO, SHE PROCEEDED TO RELATE HOW I CAME IN WITH A BLANKET OVER MY LAP (YOU SEE I HAVE NO LEGS BUT THAT WAS PLAINLY VISIBLE AS I WAS WEARING SHORTS AND THE ONLY SIMILARITY THAT I HAD WITH THIS OTHER PERSON WAS THE WHEEL CHAIR) A SMALL CROWD GATHERED I GUESS TO DISCUSS MY GUILY OR INNOCENCE AT WHICH POINT I ASKED THAT THE POLICE BE CALLED AS A POLICE REPORT OF THE INCIDENT WOULD BE HELPFUL IN CLEARING THE SITUATION, I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EMBARRASSED IN MY LIFE. THIS KATHERINE WOMAN JUST WALKED AWAY LAUGHING AS IF IT WAS JUST A LITTLE JOKE, IT WASN'T FUNNY TO ME OR MY WIFE. THIS WOMAN SHOULD NOT BE WORKING AS A PERSON THAT HAS CONTACT WITH THE PUBLIC, AT LEAST NOT THOSE WITH NO LEGS AND STUCK IN A WHEEL CHAIR.

Poor Customer Service
On April 2, 2010, Approx. 8:15 am, I went into the store to purchase a few items. After I had been in the store a few minutes I noticed that I was being followed by a police officer. I went to the check out to pay for my items with my ebt card, only to find that the software on the cash register had been changed. I wanted to receive cash from my ebt card.
When I followed the prompts, the screen asked: Is this amount correct? I entered no, because as I said I wanted cash back.
After hitting no, my transaction was canceled. This process was repeated 3 times. I then asked the cashier to watch as I entered the information; however, she would not look at the screen. However, she continued to state that I was doing something wrong.
I then stated to her that I would go over to customer service and take care of the transaction. The cashier asked me not to go to customer service because, they would yell at her.
I went to customer service only to encounter a clerk that also uninformed of transactions in which an ebt card was used.
By the way, the cop that had been following me throughout the store followed me to the customer service desk.
Eventually, a staff member who also worked at shop rite explained to the clerk at customer service that the transaction was legitimate and could now only be executed at select registers at the store.
I had made a prior complaint at shop rite; however, they did not correct the problem.

Horrible Customer Service
I went to Shop Rite in Old Bridge on Rt 9 North by the Ferry Roud. I wanted to get some cheese and ham for my family breakfast. I was very surprised when instead of thank you I got harassed by one of the workers for making they work hard for my order! Worker talked about me with her co-workers in front of my face with her back turned to me. I got my order with an attitude that has been almost throwing into my face. In addition I got comments about my hair and my clothes. After feeling awful I spoke to the manager and I got the same attitude! WOW! So when I got home soaking in up and opened my shopping I opened the packet and it smelling bad. I felt harassed, unfair, humiliated for shopping and choosing to spend my money at the SHOP RITE! I got back, and asked them to try what they sell. They pretended along with the manager whose name is CHRIS that they don't know what I am talking about. All I said that if I ended up in the hospital after eating this they can be sure I will sued them all! NEVER AGAIN I GO TO THIS STORE!
By the way I know they didn’t take me serious. But I take my family serous. That is why I will not leave it alone and will write to whose above them.
