Yup...I was scammed. I'm pretty astute when it comes to online shopping. Actually, I'm a pro-shopper. When I couldn't find the ONE item my 19 year old daughter requested this Christmas... Black Uggs, classic short size 7, I was desperate. When I did a Google search and shop-ugg.usa came up with the goods, well below cost, I was elated, to say the least. I gave them all of the appropriate info., NOT ONCE noticing that the business site didn't list a phone number.
I must admit, I got suspicious when they emailed me back saying they wouldn't be sending me an email notifying me that the order had been shipped. Hmm... First clue! Still, my spirits were high due to the fact that I was getting my daughter her only request. I could not, for the life of me, find classic, black, short Uggs anywhere, including Zappos. Sold out completely everywhere I checked. This was 11/23. The money was withdrawn on 11/30. SANUARIA is how it came across on my online banking statement. Sounds Asian to me! $99 for the boots and $2.15 for "International Shipping fee". lol. Whatta deal right?!
Needless to say, I sit here on 12/15 feeling stupid, taken and violated. No boots. No shop-ugg.usa website. Gone. Vanished.
I have contacted my banking establishment and they are refunding my account. They have also put a flag on Sanuaria for future reference. I am not taking any chances, even though my bank says this is what these people do and they usually don't use your card again. I am cancelling my card and having a new one sent.
I have learned ONE VERY VALUABLE LESSON in all of this. I will stick with Zappos, and other reputable online shoe sites for any future purchases.
As the old addage states... IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE...
