unautherized charge
I did not order this. I don't know what it is for or how they got my card number. I have been billed twice.

Unauthorized billing
I checked my Feb statement and noticed a charge of 14.95 for a membership to this company to be billed monthly. I have never heard of them until I got billed. I called them at the number provided. Good luck!! I have contacted them online and am waiting for a reply. It seems I am not alone.

Debit Card Fraud
I have never heard of Shopping Essentials until I found a charge on my account today. I caught the charge before they could get m0re out of my account. The thing is I am not sure how or where I was shopping 0nline that they would be able to get my card information. I haven't shopped at any of the stores that others have mentioned in other posts. I hope this company does get shut down for fraudulant charges.

Terrible experience
Received my credit card statement today. There was a charge of 11.95 on there from 'ShoppingEssen'. Called the number and had to provide my customer id, which I did not know OR my credit card number. (didn't like that) But finally got a live person to come on the line. Asked him what the charge was for and he said I had signed up for this savings club after a purchase to The Stitchery.

I told him I had never made a purchase to this store and that they needed to remove the charge. He did not argue, just simply said, 'we will remove the charge' I then asked him how long I had been signed up for this service and he told me for 2 months. So beware, and check your credit card statements!!! This is a good example of why I don't use my debit card for online purchases!

Unauthorised charges
While checking my online account last night, I found an $11.95 charge to Shopping Essentials, for which I had no record. I noted the fraudulent nature of the charge as I was otherwise engaged at the time of the charge. A quick search yielded results, detailing numerous infractions this company committed.

After reading of similar scenarios, I reported the charge to my bank, stopped payment and had the bank issue a new card. Then, I notified Shopping Essentials of the error and requested the charge be removed.

I hope others find this report helpful and have equal success in recovering their money.

Charged me six months fraudulently
Upon checking my bank statement closely, imagine my surprise at seeing a $19.95 Shopping Essentials charge Who or what is Shopping Essentials??

Upon closer review, I discovered a continuing charge for the past 6 months from the same organization. After doing a little research on this company, I came upon this web site. After realizing that this is most likely connected to my Classmates.com membership I tried like others to discontinue my membership, no luck getting a live person.

Subsequently, I contacted my bank and cancelled my bankcard which will ultimately solve the problem. The bank is also investigating fraud. The bank informed me that the best way to deal on the internet is with your credit card which allows you to dispute charges easier, and more routinely. At any rate neither classmates.com nor this group will charge anything to me again.

Unauthorized billing
Shopping Essentials obtained my credit card info and signed me up for a membership without my permission in Nov. 2008. I first noticed a charge for $11.95 in Dec. 2008. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and they credited my account. I received another charge in Jan. 2009 I just called the number that was shown on my credit card statement and talked with an automated system to cancel my membership. I was never contacted by them for permission to obtain my credit card info, and was never provided a membership number that is needed to login to their website (www.shoppingessentialsplus.com).

This is outrageous. I'm thankful it didn't go on very long for me and that so far I'm not out any money. It's frustrating that so many people have had this happen and nothing has been done.

fraud
My bank debit card is being charged $19.95 a month for a membership that Iknow nothing about and did not join and did not give permission to have my bank acccount charged. This began last August. I am not sure how all of this started. I replied to an add for a free sample of Ultra Lean Green Tea right before this began. However, shoping essentials is not listed in the add or on the product. This is the only thing that I can come up with as to how this all started.

Unauthorized charges
I noticed $19.95 being automatically withdrawn from my checking account. They somehow got my Credit card number in the process of me signing up for Runion.com. I did not know what these charges were for. When I called and talked to a representative they said they would credit the charges. The representative I spoke to told me I clicked on something that said 7 day free trial...then the Charges started appearing on my bank statement for December 2008 and Jan 2009. They take it out at the beginning week so you are unaware unless you check your bank regularly, until you get a statement. I had no clue what this company is.

The representative I spoke to proceeded to get more personal information from me... they did not know my email and I refused to give them my address when they tried to drag it out of me. I said 'You are charging my account and you don't even know my physical address or my name? Now, unfortunately they found out my name and some other things for their file. I need to call my bank right now and notify them.

I have no recollection of signing up for any 7 day free trial. How were they able t access my credit information is beyond me!

Unauthorized charges
Shopping essentials charged 14.95 on my debit card unwillingly for a membership that they signed me up for without my permission. I did talk with them on the phone and had them cancel the membership, however this is ethically wrong and in my opinion, fraudulent for them to sign me up as a member to their company and then charge me for it by attaining my credit card information from another company. I feel this needs to be stopped immediately and the company persecuted for fraud. I wonder how many other people out there have been victims of this type of fraud.
