I have purchased short term disabilty from Aflac aprox 9 years ago. I have never filed a claim till 08/10 I have not worked since July 26, Aflac sent papers and forms to a piror address in which I didnt receive till weeks later. when i did receive them they said my claim was closed but if i sent in all paper work they world re open it, I had every thing they sent me filled out in cluding a letter explaining why it wasnt done sooner. (my payments were deducted by my pay from my company, all address changes and name changes should have been done then). I have caalled a few times and was told the new caim was still being looked at and i should know something soon. i called back a few days later and then was told they still neeed more paper work sent it. Sooo i did that also and am still getting a run around about the claim. I even sent them a check for 42.00 to keep me updated and now they tell me they never received it. Soooo I had to call my back and cancel the check which cost me another 37.00 to do so. I have now been out of work for over 3 months and havent received a dime from a policy i paid for.
