I bought a sidekick flip from tmobile in 2008, and really enjoyed my service. At least I did until I got out of the military and moved back home where my "service" was practically non existent. I contacted tmobile to ask them about boosting my service, and was told that they didn't have any towers in my area. I moved again for college and my service was a little better after that. Then I had an incident where my phone got a bit wet and started acting funny. I called customer service to get a new phone of the same make and model, and was told that my insurance that I'd been paying for, for over a year and some change did not cover water damage. Strange considering the man that sold me my plan and phone told me that the insurance I had purchased would fully cover my phone for any reason. He told me word for word that I " could walk out the door and spike it off of the sidewalk, come back in the door, and get a replacement." Customer service must not have got the memo, so I paid 100 + dollars for insurance that amounted to nothing. My alternative was to either to cancel my service, get whatever free phone they felt like sending me, or upgrade to the sidekick LX and pay $300 dollars or 100 + dollars and a 2 year extension on my plan. I went for the 100 + and extension which coincidentally was the same amount I'd spent over the last year and whatever in useless phone insurance! After getting my new phone, my service was hardly better even though it was 3G service. After having the LX for about the same amount of time I got a text from tmobile saying that they were dropping all data services for the sidekick LX. ie I needed a new phone again... My choices this time were to cancel my service, get a new phone for new customer pricing, or upgrade to a different phone which included... you guessed it another extension on my service plan. I cancelled and am currently phoneless. When I decided to cancel the service rep asked why I would want to cancel service that I'd had with them for years. After explaining to him the aforementioned and the fact that I was tired of shotty service, being lied to, and have to pay out the nose for upgrades and other stuff to hold onto my original plan and phone he said okay. No apology, no offer to fix this situations, not even an offer to reduce my bill. Now that my service is cancelled with Tmobile... Introducing the new Tmobile 4G sidekick android! God I hate this company. I love the phone, but would rather deal with some other company besides tmobile. They are a waste of time and money.
