We purchased a vacation ownership late 2008 in playa del carmen, mexico from a company called Royal Elite who sold us a two bedroom at Sandos Caracol. They gave us contact to their affiliate Sierra club Rentals so that they can rent out our extra weeks and also possibly sale our package. They made us pay a total of $688.85 on sept. 10, 2008 to become a member so that they can put us in their system. Since then they have not rented out anything for us. Early 2010 Sierra contacted us via email and telephone (women name Alex Stuart tel#1-800-542-9857), stating that they have a purchase offer for $26, 000. We accepted the offer by filling out all paper work they required. We sent a check for $1995.00 for fees that suppose to be reimbursed at closing. During the next few stressful months, we have been sending and receiving emails back and forth on the progress. Finally they return an email stating everything is in line and ready and that all we need to do is pay a tax in Puerto Vallerta of about $1100.00 by wire transfer and in about 3-4 weeks, our money was suppose to be in our bank acct. Four weeks have been far passed and all of a sudden, TIM HART from their legal department, ALEX STUART from their sale department, and KRISTIE JOHNSON from their legal department, and all of Sierra's telephone numbers, faxes, and emails do not work. We contacted Royal Elite and they said that they are also aware and also trying to find Sierra but no success. This kinda thing can give you a heart attack. My wife and I feel so so cheated and also stupid in a way. I have contacted Timesharescam.com to see if they can do anything to help. I am waiting for their response.
