Warrenty was not Refunded
Purchased extended warranty on new Ford Escape purchased from Dan Wiebold Ford in Nampa, Idaho. The warranty was around 1800.00. We were told if we did not use it we would get it refunded to us. We did not use the warranty and when the time was up we sent in all the paperwork, we even went to Dan Wiebold and they gave us the correct paperwork to send in to Signet . We took all the pictures that they required and followed the instructions carefully. After no refund we called the company and we were told it would be sent out next month. Still no refund than we called again and were told it would be sent out in two weeks. It is about 4 months later and no refund. We now have been told from the company basically that they are filing bankruptcy and we will not be getting a refund. It would be nice if the auto dealers checked these companies out better before offering them to thier customers. This company is bad news!

Refund
I had purchased through the car dealership in The Dalles Oregon an extended warrenty for the car I purchased. I payed extra each month for 72 months at the end of which if I had not used the warrenty I would get a full refund. I sent in the paperwork, they sent me paperwork back to fill out. i sent that in and called 1 month later to make sure they received it. They had and told me it all was approved to expect a check in the mail within 90 days. I called them back and there # says closed until further notice. I keep calling and now it just rings and rings. I contact the car dealership I bought it through and they have taken my info and are "looking into it."

non payment of warranty refund
I followed the refund process exactly. Filed for my warranty refund on time and included all paperwork in November of 2010. The only correspondence I have had from this company is the certified mail reciept of my paperwork. SFG has taken down their website and will not field calls anymore. Not that they ever did a good job of that anyway. I was promised my check over the phone and it has not arrived by the date they told me. I will be filing a complaint with the CA Attorney Generals office. I want whoever is responsible for this crooked operation to spend time in jail, and I will actively persue this goal. I'm eager to see how the dealership (Henry Day Ford) will assist me with getting my refund back. I don't think that they are financially responsible for my warranty, but they should be embarrassed and/or angry about alligning their company with SFG. My email is [email protected]

auto warranty
We too purchased the warranty with a full refund if never used. After calls to our dealer we found out that we were on our own. Because Signet is based in California we filed a complaint with the CA Attorny General's office and the CA Insurance Commissioner. You can do this online. From the CA Secretary of State website we have found out that Signet's business is still active and they are represented by the James C. Kuppenbender law firm in Sacramento, CA.

auto warranty refund
My story is the same as the others here. I spoke with someone at Signet in February who confirmed we had submitted all the proper documentation and stated my refund of $3, 500 would be issued by the beginning of March. Now it appears the company has closed down. How can we take action against this company? Do we have any recourse?

Auto warranty
Purchased a 4 year warranty policy with this group signing a contract for full refund if warranty no used. Met criteria for refund after 4 years. Was very difficult to get info on procedure to receive refund. Was to have check sent out on April 1st. Office now closed until further notice. Further investigation finds company has conducted business in this manner for years. Had I know that, would have never done business with this group. In my opinion, seems to me city of Vacaville should be ashamed of this type of business practice. Better business bureua gives then a A+. Goverment is looking to cut cost, in my opinion, this is one group that has dropped the ball and maybe needs to be in the budget cuts. Why are companies using this group. Now I wonder about the business that sold me this coverage and what kind of practices are they doing. Is there no one out there that can fix or handle this group. Ponzie schemes, what kind is this?. Don't deal with this company!!!

Extended Service Contract
We purchased an Extended Service Warranty on our car and didn't need to use it. We started the process to get this refunded on 8-2-10 and have not received our refund yet. We were told several times that the refund was either in the mail or would be mailed out the first of next week. One time we were told that the group that reviews your claim doesn't meet until around the end of December. You should then receive either a refund or a refusal letter around the middle of January. Of course we didn't receive anything and now our phone calls aren't being answered.

Non-payment of refund
Non-payment of refun
My husband and I purchased the Extended Warranty through Signet Financial and made sure we followed every requirement to receive our refund. We submitted our refund in the first week of November 2010. After we submitted the claim, we then had to send a notarized form stating that they could talk to me (his wife) as his name was the one on the contract. They told me that it would take 60 to 90 days to process the request. When the 90 days past and we did not hear anything I called, I was told to leave a message and that someone from the refund department would call me back. WELL, I did receive a phone call back, they left a message stating that the request has been approved and the check was being cut on March 18, 2011 (I still have the voice mail with the persons name and them stating the company name stating they were cutting the refund check). It is now April 3, 2011 and we can not reach the company as of last week they have a recording that until futher notice the office is closed.
I am like the rest of you, what can be done about this. It appears they scammed alot of innocent people and could be doing it again under a different name to other people.

Out of Business?
Like the MANY other complaints about this fraudulent company, we too have faced complete runaround from this place. But now, there's a new wrinkle to this mess... now when a phone call is made to these people-- not that they ever answer anyway-- the new recording says, "this office is closed until further notice." WTF! Now what?! We're really hoping our car dealership-- who are STILL selling their worthless warranties-- will stand behind their customer.
Has anybody happen to have gotten a hold of anybody at this company in the last week or so (it's the first of April, 2011 today)? I think they've totally screwed us along with many, many other unsuspecting customers.
