Silverline Security Reviews

Horrible Install
My wife just had the system installed yesterday. Yet the sales man and the installer was very nice, but when the the system was installed i had to test it myself and break in my own house. Of course nothing happend i made it from my basement door up the stairs and then into my bedroom(wow) and then made my way into my livingroom. How safe is that. If you believe you safe with this system then you must be a fool, just give me your address and let me prove it to ya, all it does is give you a false since of security. We are go in to be call in them to today to have it removed lets see how that goes; and ill post more later. Thanks and i hope that you do what my wife didnt do and just do a little reserach before you sign anything.

Happy, not sad
I've had some run ins with Silverline Security and have nothing negative to say about them. I'm just posting a good review where it's due and our dealings with Silverline Security has been nothing but great results. We started with ADT a few years back, but when Silverline came to us and laid out the plan and weakness of our current alarm system, we talked to a few others, discussed pricing and we were set. Now, a couple years later, we're still happy, had one occurance where the system performed flawlessly!!! Thank you.

SCAM
Please run away from this SHADY SHADY company. They do the majority of the sales during the summer. They will lie cheat and steal to get every dollar they can out of you. From the CEO Matt Smith to the CFO Adam Christianson to the President Adam Schanz (the shadiest one of them all) Plus he is the one that is teaching the whole sales crew how to scam you and he goes on the doors himself. Adam Schanz may be under another SCAM company originated out of UT named APT or Alarm Protection Technology. ITS ALL A SCAM. These guys promise their sales people that they will make 50k to 100k or more in a summer LIE. Then they teach the employees how to say certain things to customers to get the sale. They tell you to push the customer into getting the alarm installed the same day. They teach their employees how to misrepresent themselves and say they are from GE (General Electric) to get people to open up the door. They basically teach their sales people how to do anything and everything to get the sale that same day! They lock their customers into a 5 year contract for $49.99 (most other companies are about 30 bucks a month) When its all said and done. The poor sales person may get 5, 000 to 10.000 a summer if that. You have a bunch of upset customers. You have a lot of people locked in to a 5 year alarm contract which could mess up their credit if they decide to move or cancel. The CRAZIES THING ABOUT IT ALL IS THE HOUSE ISN"T EVEN CLOSE TO BEING ADEQUATELY BEING PROTECTED (a keypad, a door sensor and a keyfob) And the only person that actually makes 2 to 5 million dollars a summer is ADAM SCHANZ, ADAM CHRISTIANSON and the OWNER MATT SMITH. Everyone else is miserable and broke and totally taken advantage of. ITS all a game they tell nothing but lies to their customers and employees, and they have no moral values or ethics whatsoever. Stay away stay away stay away. OH and that free security system that they say you get...well YOU might get 2 doors and a keyfob no windows or anything protected and you can go to www.gesecurity.com and get your entire home secured for $249.99 which will save yourself that $3000 5 year contract. EVERYTHING I SAID TODAY IS THE TRUTH!!

Misrepresentation of Company
Two representatives from Silverline Security (Safeguard America) knocked on my door even though I have a highly visible sign on my door discouraging solicitors. I asked them several questions through the door and wasn't able to understand what they represented. Finally, they said they were with BGE (our local gas and electric company). I asked if there was a fee for what they were doing, and they said, "No". I opened the door to find two salesmen from Silverline Security standing there. They have no connection with BGE and charge a minimum of $125 for their security system. I believe that these salesmen blatantly misrepresented their company and its fees. They also ignored my request for privacy.

Worst customer service, false ad
This company hires many young salespeople just out of high school or college to fool customers with false advertisement. They will write an invoice showing all the benefits the client is getting when buying this very technologically advanced system. It is a wireless GE system that GE is installing for free and if somebody buys it directly it does not even cost $300.00.

Because they want the customer to sign the contract with them, they cover all the important parts of the contract and summarize what they know he/she would not care about. After signing the contract, they give a three day delay to cancel. When the customer calls before the three day delay, they wait until after the three days are passed to contact the customer and try to solve the issue. Now that the customer has five year contract, the system is not installed properly, it does not work, and they refuse to cancel the contract.

Their customer service people do not have any skills. They treat customers like criminals; all they care about is money when their service is the worst. They removed the customers' old system, if they had one, and threat them to send their names to collection if they would not pay for a system that was not installed properly. They harass customers for their money after they have them sign an unread, hidden contract.

Do not even attempt to talk to them when they knock on your door. They are a bunch of fraudulent salespeople selling false advertisement.

Bad service
I signed a security monitoring contract with this company. What a mistake! The sales rep promised me that my first 2 months of monitoring would be free - LIE#1. He told me that my monitoring would only be $34.99/month - LIE#2. He told me that I could cancel whenever - LIE#3. He told me that when I move, the alarm system would be moved at NO charge to me - LIE#4. And he NEVER told me that I was agreeing to a 3 YEAR CONTRACT!!! That is insane! Who in their sane mind would sign up for any service for 3 long years??? That is straight stupid!

AND- that stupid salesman ran the social security numbers of everyone in my house in order to find someone's credit to use for the sale! He ran my husbands, mothers, fathers, brothers, and even my daughter's social security numbers! He told me they would only be used as emergency contacts, when really he was running all of their credit reports and scores. COMPLETELY UNETHICAL!

I have called and called and called this company multiple times in order to clear up these discrepancies- all to no avail! The people who work for this company are rude, ignorant, uncaring, and unprofessional! I have NEVER seen anything like this! This company is a SHAM!!! DO NOT do business with this company - save yourself a horrific NIGHTMARE!!!

Rip off
Do NOT get taken by this company. They are a shady crew. They are a little mom and pop company who try to sell themselves as a large and successful company. Everything they say and do is a LIE. The sales reps will tell you anything to make a sale. Make sure you READ the contract!

The recruiters for this company will tell potential employers that they will make anywhere from $50-100 thousand for one summer of sales. BOGUS!! 99% of reps will make NOTHING at the end of the summer. The company withholds the majority of your sales commission until summer end, and they promise a huge payout then. Good luck collecting a dime!!

Save yourself a summer of absolute MISERY and pass on this piece of shi* company.

Potential customers: go with a company you can trust; one with a name that you have actually heard of. Just realize that these reps are going to tell you ANYTHING to make a sale. You don't need an alarm system, let alone from a shady, shady company such as this.
