My 3 friends and I rented this 2 BR/2 BA apt (Silvio Ruggieri 2734 #7A, Buenos Aires, Argentina) through a website called ApartmentsBA.com. We found Apartmentsba very easy to deal with and very professional, however, they were very clear that Apartmentsba DID NOT manage this unit. It was owned and managed by a man named Chad Andrews from San Franscisco, CA.

The apartment is billed as a "luxury" apartment, but I find that a depature from reality. The nasty towels looked about 5 years old, both shower curtains had mold, and there was hair (not ours!) in the bedsheets when we arrived. Ick!

I'm OK with accommodations not being 5-star, but don't bill something as "luxury" when I've been in cleaner Motel 6's. The walls of the apartment needed a thorough cleaning as well...perhaps a Mr. Clean Eraser? Perhaps a paint job every 10 years would be great too!

We stayed in this apartment for 7 days and I could not wait to get the heck out of that place! We tried to rent 4 other apartments before this one, and now we know why this one was still available...

To make matters dirtier, Chad and his apartment manager Marcos (who does not speak a lick of English, so thank God for those 4 years of high school Spanish!) were rude as well. We had a problem with the lock that we spent the ENTIRE first day fixing, and both insisted that we broke the lock. Mind you, we were 4 women with no tools...how did we manage to break a lock? Chad lectured us like we were 7 years old and spoke down to us in a condescending voice. He charged us for the lock so I don't know why he felt the need to lecture us as well. I'd pay more for no lecture - I'm on vacation! The guy is a jerk, and I don't know how he is in the hospitality business. He needs to do something where he has no contact with people.

Marcos also told us that maid service would be coming on Thursday. The maid didn't come. When we called Marcos, he said that he made a mistake and that there was no maid coming. That was just cruel.

There are so many other apartment and hotel choices, I advise you to go with all the other choices. Buenos Aires is a beautiful city, and this was the one black cloud over an otherwise fantastic trip!

Remember - if you see this address Silvio Ruggieri 2734 #7A...RUN!!!
