I purchased a skin culture USA peel on the 18th May 2009.
It is now 23rd October and I have received neither the product nor a refund.
I was initially told AFTER I'd placed the order that they were having problems with their supplier. After waiting 7 weeks and several emails later I requested a refund and was told this would take another 60 days to process. This should have been 1st August09. On 27th August, after still hearing nothing, I emailed again and was told "Although we fully understand the process to get a refund with our company has not occurred in a normal time period, we can directly attribute this to the current circumstances happening in the economy. However, there is good news on the horizon.
Beginning a few weeks ago, we started cutting refund checks and mailing them to our customers. We have verified that you are on our list of customers to be refunded. Please keep in mind that it may take up to 60 days for this refund check to be cut and mailed to you. They are being done in the order in which they were received."
I was surprised to receive this response since it had already been 87 days since the refund was requested.
I placed this order over 4 months ago and am now beginning to realise that they are hoping that I will let them keep my money and the product. As the amount is US $273.28 I have no intention of letting these crooks get away with this. If, as they claimed, they are having a problem with the supplier they should have stated they were OUT OF STOCK not continue taking orders they could not fulfil.This is unprofessional and unacceptable.
I'm disgusted with the company and can only urge others not to purchase any products from skinculture usa or the parent company Universal Marketing Media.
