Do not go to Skydive Jacksonville!
We arrived early for our 11:00 reservation. We were told it would be a two hour wait. When I asked why someone didn't call me I received an answer that involved her making only $8.00/hour. So, as her time is not valuable, I guess mine isn't either.
I left and came back two hours later, only to be told it would be another hour. What I later figured out with the help of other employees, was the wait was an ADDITIONAL 2 1/2 hours (for a total of 4 1/2 hours) after our reservation!
However, before we even got to that point the plane returned with its load of passangers and announced it was broken and grounded for the day. An employee later complained that the problem was the owner is so cheap he uses replacement parts that come from two planes that had crashed four years ago. What do you expect?
When we asked for our money back - now get this - they said "No"
Yes, it is true we signed a waiver saying we did not get our money back - and the waiver had everything else under the sun in it too - but we would never have thought that the company cancelling the trips would fall under this. After a number of us complained (obviously) They called the owner and another person talked to him - but still the answer was no refund.
Of course I will take it up with the credit card company. But the worst part of this has been the way were treated by staff throughout th eentire experience. Waiting for hours and hours, being lied to (one employee admitted the company lies about wait times but stated "I hate when they do that.") Having poorly maintained equipment and getting no refund when they cancel for their own mechanical reasons.
What else can I say. Don't go there...
