Billing
Unbelievable that a technology company can't perform a simple business transaction.

My credit card company sent me a new credit card number because of a
potential security compromise. As a result, this required the merchants
of recurring charges on this card to be notified so there could be a
valid number.

When I tried to change my credit card number for my Skype Unlimited, I was told I couldn't do that, and that I would have to cancel my subscription and make a new purchase. Really stupid. Worse is that my old rate of $9.95 per month will now go up to $12.95 per month. Hmmm...

When I asked for help to make this simple change, I was just stiff armed and some idiot just parroted back policy.

This does notseem right at all...most companies allow for changes in credit card
information, especially for recurring charges, and DON'T force the
customer to make a new purchase.

I'm going to be looking at other options now...sleazebags!

Billed me for cancelled account
1.I signed up with a skype account.
2.They sent me an email saying they had to reverse the charges due to a Paypal problem. Status - canceled it said.
3. They proceeded to bill me for the "canceled" account for 4 months until I noticed.
4. Their "policy" says they only refund one month.
I have documentation that they canceled my account. How can they keep my money?

Fraudulant Charges
This company has deducted 3 charges of $16.65 from my bank account. Although I have heard of Skype, we are not Skype users. These are fraudulant charges.
I've looked high and low to find a customer service phone number for them. My bank cannot even provide a phone number. I've tried contacting eBay since they are a subsidiary of eBay.
I will be filing a white collar crimes complaint with the FBI with regard to this situation if not rectified immediately.

To those who are experiencing the same problems; I have heard of one success story by emailing [email protected] & [email protected].
I have sent an email to these addresses this morning and am awaiting a response.

money taken and service not offered
i made three applications on the 30.12.09 for the sum of £11.50 including vat, it was taken out of my account and never credited to the skype account. I made another attempt on the 5.1.10 and the same thing happened again. I would like it to be credited to my skype account or refunded into my account. It has not been transfered back into my bank account. I will not be using the service if this is the result i get everytime.

several unauthorised autocharging instances
Skype has taken several unauthorised payments through Paypal to the sum of £72 and has no complaints procedure that is meanfull in resolving this. All email replies are automatic and in Czechoslovakian

Theft of Online Number
Skype (or their partner- Level 3 Communications, L.L.C. ) stole my $60 one-year subscription for a SkypeIn phone number approximately 6 months after initiating. After a few weeks of 'radio-silence' from my business and social contacts I thought to 'call myself' from another land-line, only to hear the sound of a fax machine attempting to negotiate a connection. This theft of my Online Number for the purpose of re-selling it to someone else for use as their fax line occurred without notice or forewarning. Skype 'support has been only 'lip-service' responsive. They say they are waiting for an 'update' from their VOIP service partner - Level 3 Communications in Apple Valley, MN. This is a 'one minute and a few keystrokes' thing to fix. It's been two months since I first told Skype support of this issue and possibly 3 months since it occured - and counting.

Do not use it
I got an email on 4th of August 2009 that my account would be credited for 972, 00 euro while the contract only allowed a maximum of 10 Euro. It took me some days to find out that Skype mixed up the English and the European notation; They should have written 9.72 Euro and they also should have written another date (4 August instead of 8 April).

It is not only this message that made me suspicious about using Skype. The other reason that I stop using Skype is that I could not contact customer service. I could not find a telephone number, no email address, no physical post address. No one to explain what problems were caused. I could not contact Skype in Ethiopia or back home in Germany. This worried me most. Imagine that Skype makes the mistake to take a few hundreds of Euro from you account, how can you claim the company?

I have cancelled my submission, changed my credit card data and stop using Skype. My main reason is that the company meant to facilitate communication has no customer service and cannot communicate with customers!

skypoe charged me 4 times t 14.25 and 14.33 I have never even used their producte nor do I have an account with them
