I hired Slattery to move all the items from my house in USR, NJ to a place upstate in New York, however most of the items went into their storage facility . ., BIG MISTAKE! I received many conflicting stories from Larry, the owner. Originally, the reason why I chose this company is because the owner assured me that he would be present for the move. He used that as a selling tactic . ., telling me that what separated him from all the other movers is that is was owner operated and that he was present throughout the move.

He was never there, it was the middle of winter and snowing and the men didn't even bother to lay down runners as he had promised. Half way into the move, after I had had the house cleaned for the people who were moving in, one of the movers that arrived on location, layed runners down . . . . he was the only nice and concientious one in the group but unfortunately the team leader was a nasty, arrogant man with a terrible attitude. He acted as if I was bothering him.

Since they had my items in storage, they made it economically impossible to hire another mover to move my items from their storage facility to my new home. They informed me that I would be charged all these additional fees if I were to use another mover.

During move into my new home, the same team leader showed up. He was rude, condescending foul mouthed. Later I overheard him referring to me as a "bitch" to his co-workers. When I called the owner about this, he sided with the team leader. I was in tears. They broke numerous items and to date, there are many personal items, valuable items, that are still missing and they are refusing to take responsibility or compensate me in any way.

They cost me thousands in moving and storgae and many more thousands in all the itmes they stole, lost or misplaced and the items they destroyed.

These people are rip off artists. I feel completely taken advatage of and they have basically told me that I have no recourse.

I only hope the word will spread and they will not be allowed to continue to take advantage of people.

The two people who handle all the bookings are Larry and Chris. Buyer beware.
