Do you have a GPS tracker on your car?
First:
Go to your trusted mechanic and look for the GPS device, usually located under or inside the dashboard of a car. You mechanic may use an RF detector or type of scanner looking for a signal being transmitted by the GPS to a satellite. The transmission can happen when you start your car or intermittently every few minutes or seconds.
Also, your mechanic and trace wires from the battery to the parts of the car to justify the wires power

Second:
Make a police report with your mechanic as a witness to the device, on Texas Penal Code Section 16.06. If you get an office that does not want to take the report, call another office. Get that report made! Better to make the report and then later prove that the device on your car is a GPS tracking device by a professional.
Third:
Hire an attorney. Look for a civil attorney. I will be looking for attorney referrals and posting them here on this site. If you find a good attorney please let us know. Good attorney's are hard to find.

When you disconnect the battery on your car any GPS device will stop tracking!
Why? Because it has no power of it's own.
Educate Yourself
If you just bought a used car from a dealer in the Houston or surrounding area, you probably have an illegal GPS device on your new used car.
Texas Penal Code 16.06 states that no one may place a GPS locating device on your car without your consent. If you did not give consent by signing a document giving permission to have the device first placed on your vehicle, second, permission to track your location at any given time; then you have an awesome lawsuit!

The used car dealers listed on this page have been reportedly using GPS tracking devices to track debtors and repossess financed vehicles. The information has been provided to us by either a debtor that has removed a GPS device or an employee of a recovery agency that has stated to me personally that an auto has been recovered by using GPS tracking software with a location tracking device permanently hardwired into the vehicle that the debtor legally owns and did not give consent to the lien holder at any time in writing to give permission to place the device on the debtors car.
