I signed on for a "free trial." It was supposed to be 99 cents. It was with another company, Detox Cleanse, I believe. I was gone for my wedding and honeymoon, during the next ten days, then I was gone for another week. I did not check my account, because I did not use it during that time. When I finally did, there were a total of $342 in charges from eight different companies.

When I started to call the eight different companies, they all said it was part of the free trial agreement. They stated I was supposed to have cancelled with each of them. I had no idea I had signed up with them. They said I had received emails explaining all of this, but I received about 136 emails, at that time. (Which I never do.) I thought it was all spam mail I had received because I had given away my email address. Apparently, there was information stating I needed to cancel these services, or I would get charged. (I think they send all that spam so people don't read them.)

Some of them charged me amounts as small as 1.95, while others charged 89.31. Some of them even had multiple charges. I believe this is a scam because they are not upfront about what you are signing up for. They are sneaky. I didn't even try the product because I was disgusted with the whole thing.

Then, when I called to cancel each one, I had to be persistent because many would not take my request for cancellation. They insisted on giving the product a chance, so much that several hung up on me when I did not give up. I had to call back and try again.

I also found out that some of these companies were the same, for example I had a fee from Smart Nutrition, and it turned out to be the same as Power Vitamins. I only know this because they gave me the same cancellation number and told my I had already cancelled the account..

I had to cancel my card to make sure no more fees were incured, and I had my bank do a stop payment on these, because (as my bank explained) they were set up in a way where they could charge the same amount any time they wanted.

I don't feel this is right and something needs to be done about it, but unfortunately I do not how to make it right. I guess I will just pray for now that these people or scam artist will be stopped so no one else is scammed like I was.

The fees were under these names on my account:www.smash-cost.com, CleanseGold (twice), Fitness Hub, Rainforest berry, WebSave (twice), Smart Nutrition, DetoxCleanse, and Power Vitamins.

If there is someone out there who knows how to stop these guys, please help!
