Reoccurring Fraudulent Charges
I found a good deal on some books online. The books were received and I thought all was well, however the company, Discount Book Sale/ Hot Book Sale, gave my information to a company called Smart Savings Center, who in turn signed me up for a "membership" that I was not aware of and I did not want.
The first charge was for $1.00 and went unnoticed. The following charges were $29.95, $12.00, $24.03, and each month a charge for $1.00. When I called American Express for information, they told me that the company changed their company vending number each month, which makes it harder to find trace.
I called the company, cancelled the membership and they would not refund any thing but $12.00. They are sending my complaint to their Refund Department, who within 5-7 business days will let me know if I qualify for a refund.
I told them I did not want to sign up for any "membership" and was not willing to settle for anything but the full amount. I also told the woman who helped me, Edyslove Delacruz, to tell the Refund department to look at this website and that I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and American Express is investigating them currently. They only way they can pose as a legitimate business is to refund my money in full.

Fraudulent Charges
This company has been charging me $30.95 per month for a "membership fee" since January. They claim that I requested a membership when ordering a DVD from Amazon.com. I have called and been assured that I would get a full refund and my "membership" would be cancelled. They are still charging my credit card each month. This is a sleaze-ball company.

unauthorized withdrawal from my account
What a total rip off scam company i recently purchased some tools from a web site called best buyer discounts .com in which i did receive the tools i ordered from them no problem saw the statement for this transaction . then just 2 days ago got my next statement from my bank with a $1.00 fee from a company that i never did business with, this was on 3/10/09 then i saw on the same statement another withdrawal fee of $29.95 from the same smart savings center .So i called this company inquiring about this withdrawal, they said that i signed up for a membership and that i did not cancel the membership within 7 days i told them first of all i just ordered from another web site for my tools and that i never signed up for no membership the guy told me that i did i told him that i know that i did not i keep a record of all my transaction, then i told him to cancel my unsuspecting and tricked membership he said he would, also i told him i want back my refund of my money he said he does not have access on his computer to refund me back my money . He then gave me the address of the rip off company and said that i have to notify them in writing so they can review and then refund me back my money .I then decided to call the website that i orderded the tools from and questioned them on smart savings center seems that they are affiliated with each other i told the lady over the phone my predicament she then decided to refund me back my money stating that i would get back my $1.00 first i would see this on my next statement and that the next request was sent for the $29.95 to the refund dept and that i should receive an email within the next 5 to 7 business days i'll wait to see the result

THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD. THEY ARE USING AMAZON'S LEGITIMACY TO CLOAK THEIR UNCONSCIONABLE THIEVERY AND NEED TO BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. IT IS A BLIGHT ON AMAZON'S GOOD NAME.
THE LIST OF PEOPLE WHO THEY HAVE STOLEN FROM IS ENORMOUS. A LONG LIST OF COMPLAINANTS CAN BE FOUND ON ONLINE COMPLAINT SITES AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA HAS ALREADY RECEIVED DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEIR UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES TO PEOPLE.
PLEASE ALERT YOUR CUSTOMERS AND PLEASE REMOVE ANY ASSOCIATION WITH SMART SAVINGSCENTER IMMEDIATELY. ONCE THEY GET YOUR CARD NUMBER FOR A PURCHASE THEY IMMEDIATELY USE THE CARD OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR UNAUTHORIZED PAYMENTS TO THEMSELVES FROM THE UNWITTING PURCHASERS ACCOUNT!!
SHAME ON THEM IN THIS ECONOMY TO BE ROBBING AMERICANS!

UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
MADE THE MISTAKE OF MAKING A SMALL ONLINE PURCHASE WITH SMART SAVINGS AND RACKED UP OVER $230 IN CHARGES TO MY ACCOUNT BEFORE I BEGAN TO NOTICE THE UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES. THEY ARE CROOKS AND YOU NEED TO BE AWARE. HOWEVER BEFORE YOU WILL FIND THIS LIKELY YOU WILL HAVE ALREADY BEEN TAKEN. SOMEONE NEEDS TO PUT UP A WEB SITE AND WARN THE WORLD BEFORE MORE OF THIS UNCONSCIONABLE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR IN SUCH A BAD ECONOMY ROBS YET MORE PEOPLE!! SHAME ON THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL RECEIVE A WINDFALL OF ILL AS A RESULT.

No Confirmation number
Unauthorized charges of $169.65 were made to my credit card from 8/28/08 through 2/27/09. I bought a book in Aug. 0f 2008, and when my Visa statement came it showed charges of $19.95 by this company I had never heard of. That charge continued for 4 mo., and then the charges were $29.95 for the next 3 mo. I spoke on the phone and was told my "membership" would be canceled, but only the last charge of $29.95 would be refunded. I received an e-mail today stating that my membership was canceled; however, no CONFIRMATION NUMBER was given. Please help me!
