reported last month about a charge of 29.95 to join thier "club". i cancelled the "membership" but was not able to get the amount refuned. so feeling kind of dumb i wrote the amount off. this month i find a charge of 1.00 on my credit card from these thieves. they now claim that there were too "memberships that we agreed to the second being a $100 a month fee. how stupid do these a-holes think we are. watch your back with this unsavory outfit. i have contacted my atty.

If you bought a movie from hotmoviedeals.com and start getting strange charges on your credit card from smartsavingscenter.com, call your CC company immediately! I was lucky that my company noticed these strange charges, refused them and called me. This website is a cover for a scam by someone who is trying to steal money from innocent consumers. Their website also has no email link to email this company and when you call the number it sounds like a recording: "...due to a high volume of calls, waiting time may exceed 15 minutes; you are caller number..." Over the phone they tell you to email [email protected] which I think is another scam to lead you into giving more information to them.

I recently purchased a book for $ 12.97 on 2/6/09 and on 2/12/09 my checking account was debited for $ 29.95 plus $1.00 on 2/5/09. I don't know how they manage to put this in without people realizing that it is a SCAM. I just hope my account is not charged $ 29.95 a month. Buyer BEWARE!!
