I ordered a DVD in February at hotmoviesale.com. My following credit card statement had the transaction, plus a separate $1 service fee, plus a $29.95 fee for membership to Smart Savings Center. I did NOT agree to a membership. Was told that I agreed to it when I clicked to submit order-----very deceiving!!! I called to cancel and ask for a refund on the membership on March 19. On March 23, another charge of $29.95 was on my statement-----FOUR days after cancelling! Another call to the company-------was told the I had cancelled on the 27th. NOT TRUE!!! I disputed all these charges with the crdeit card company and as of today, only the second $29.95 plus $1 service charges have been refunded.

After much searching on the web, I found out that these companies are under a much bigger unbrella company out of the Czech Republic----a company called Xacti. If you check under xacti.com, you will find both Smart Savings Center and Hot Movie Sale in their internet businesses. Wonder if ALL their so called companies are ripoffs!!! BEWARE!!!
