I was searching for a DVD around Halloween and came across the smart savings center online, which advertised my DVD for a really cheap price. I read it carefully, as I am always leery of internet good deals.

I saw nothing to lead me to think this was a membership club or anything like that. I ordered the DVD, and a day later received an email informing me that it was out of stock. I replied that I needed it by a specific time period and canceled. The next day, I received the DVD in the mail, and found through my banking online that I had been charged the $2 for the DVD.

I didn't think any more of it until I noticed another $1 charge a couple of days later. I am still getting this $1 charge to my debit card every month since. It is now Feb. I cannot find a physical address to send a cancellation letter, and I will have to pay $25 to have a stop payment order for a $1 charge. What else can I do, other than close the account?

I have just received my CC statement with continuing charges of $ 1 - $ 20.07 and $ 29.95 per month which were not authorized.
Calling the 800 number proved to be useless - it's a tape and very difficult to understand. The website offers no access to the company either. I filed a dispute with the CC company.
I would like to know how the company had access to my CC #.

This has to be the worst experience of my life. Simply tried to buy a couple of DVD's never realizing I was giving information to a phisher and scammer! Evidently, hotmoviesale.com is owned by smartsavingscenter.com for the sole purpose of ripping off unsuspecting people on the internet. The sites look very professional, nothing to tip you off. Setup to look kind of like Amazon but that's where the similarities end. When you try to call their toll free number to get information about the charges, you are put on hold (I waited for over 30 min one time) and no one ever takes your call. I had to go to my bank and fill out and dispute form against the charge, as I had never even heard of SmartSavingsCenter or agreed to pay them any fees. BEWARE!!!

I am getting billed $19.95 a mont for something I have no ideal what it is.
I have tried calling the number on my bank statement to cancel and to get a refund as not only am I paying for something i have not ideal what it is . But, it is also overdrafting my banking account. When you call you get a recording asking you to hold. i have held for over 20 minutes and no one ever comes back on the line. Something needs to be done about this company asap.

I ordered a book that came up on a web search. It was advertised at $.20 with free shipping. I ordered it and got charged an additional $29.95 membership fee, that was never shown or agreed upon. When I called, they refused to refund my money. I will be contacting my bank and get my money back.
