Hi everyone, I'm from Spain.
I have been trying to contact Snug Australia about my problem with the two pairs of Uggs I got from their website, but I always ended up putting it off and in the beginning I thought it was something normal on Uggs.
I got them around 3 and 2 years ago and I absolutely adore them except for the fact that they were very slippery from the beginning on wet ground, even on slighty wet ground (on most types of ground). I heard this happens with any Ugg boots when there is obviously some ice or snow, but not on wet ground, especially when it's not VERY wet. I live in North Spain, so we don't get ice or snow here. As I said I bought two pairs, and the second ones (the classic short black ones, the ones that are my favorite) are the ones that are SUPER slippery.
I will wear them and if it starts to rain and the ground gets just a little wet my Uggs look like ice Skates on most types of ground. I had a few falls for this reason.
I have seen girls wearing fake Uggs and walking on wet grounds with no problems at all, while I was trying not to lose my balance and fall.
The dye or whatever it is they use to dye the inside of the boots stain my feet back, which is VERY difficult to remove.
I emailed Snug Australia about this 2 days ago asking for another free pair. They just replied saying this :
"The boots that were made 2 or 3 years ago came with EVA soles, which is a
light weight and durable material. This type of soles are the standard soles used for ugg boots.
With wear the grooves in the soles can wear down and they can become more
slippery. This is not considered as a fault. We now use EVA soles that have more rubber content for our Deluxe Classic Uggs, which provide more grip. If you wish to place a new order, as a good will gesture we have issued a
discount coupon for you that will give you a 5% discount in addition to the
Customer Loyalty discount you will receive automatically."
So they still want me to buy another pair offering me just a 5% discount!!! Amazing!!! I wouldn't buy from this website again, no matter if they are cheaper than on other websites. I would buy the ones sold in the USA, no matter if they are made in China. The reason why I bought on Snug Australia is because they were MADE in Australia, but I found then way too cheap, which was a bit suspicious. Too good to be true!!!
Did anyone have the same problems with these "Uggs"???
