I have been on SSI and Social Security for quite sometime and they have made me homeless; Someone used my social security number and worked for a very short time and social security claims I owe them $20, 882.00 dollars for jobs that were less then a couple of weeks.
What they did instead of charging me for the time worked they went back 6 years and said I had to pay back all the money which comes to $20, 882.00. They put this overpayment on my credit report and that has made me not able to get a place to live and I can't get medical treatment and the doctor said if I don't get medical treatment I have about two years to live and that was a year and a half ago.
When I called the Needles California office and spoke to a Mrs. Pettiecort we went trough every job they said I worked and she said she had to look at my records to see what is going but she did not do that she had a Mr. Bracket call me and he said that since the jobs they claimed I worked did not pan out they are going to use another job that had nothing to do with the time frame that was worked.
What I don't get how can social security put something on a persons credit before they prove that an overpayment is the persons overpayment?
