scam
charged me double what it said. also i was trying to get some security for my computer and it completely misrepresented itself. claimed to be Avast antivirus turns out it was just a way to get to download Avast. So first thing i did immediatly was call credit card company told them it was a scam. said i couldnt even find a phone number to get ahold of them. credit card had no info either. hmmm weird. they cancelled my card and are sending me a new card so they cant try and charge me again and have reported them to 3 different companies as fraud or a scam. no charge to me thank u credit card i do not have to pay anything!!!

Fraudulent charfes
I was supposed to get a free down load for Adobe Reader. I did get a free down load or any download but I was charged a fee of $70.80 on my credit card. I do not have Adobe Reader. I cannot open any files that I tried to down load. I do not have any new software. I have nothing. I would like a refund for all charges. The only information I was given was this website and a telephone number. This was given to me by my credit card sompany.

Unauthourized debit, no service
I tried to download Adobe Acrobat 9 for 12.95 a year. After entering my credit card info but before I submit, they enrolled me for 3 year download plus service charges. They charge my card $70.80.
I tried to down load the software from their web, they did not allow me to login. Unauthourized charge and no service!

misdirected to their site
I wanted to download the free version of Avast antivirus software. Using the Bing search engine, I typed in 'avast' and their first listing was for a site www.avast-software.com. I wrongly assumed that as it was first in the list, that this was the genuine site. I went there and was surprised to be asked for money to download Avast. As there are also pay versions of this software, I just thought I may as well download the pay version as it would be better anyway. So I paid £29 via Paypal to this site and then tried to download what I thought was Avast.

Luckily the security bar on my Internet Explorer browser prevented the download. I began to feel suspicious, so I checked the next listing on Bing, which turned out to be the REAL avast site. I had been misdirected to a site that LOOKED like Avast, and had unwittingly paid for 'life membership to Software HQ' which is a site that supposedly allows the user to download lots of software in one go.

This is wrong as the software listed is either free anyway, so why pay to download OR if it's not free, then why pay extra to download. It gets worse - when I downloaded Avast from the correct site, and installed it on my PC, it almost immediately intercepted malware originating from Software Hq site!

Incidentally, when I went to the Google search engine, the first listing was the genuine site, and this scam site was nowhere to be seen. I am intending to check with Paypal, whether there is any need for me to change my Paypal login details (as the fake Avast site had a link to paypal) Also I will contact Avast to let them know someone is using their name and claiming to sell their product. And I think Bing should not be allowing a fake site to be in their listings, let alone be no.1 in the list!

Not happy :(

Redirecting Purchase
I attempted to purchase a three-year contract from Adobe for $17.60 However, I was informed that I instead had purchased a software package from a company called "Software-HQ " for $52.80.

Charged $70.00
I was trying to download adobe reader and acrobat, and they popped up on my computer saying they were going to help me install, but they did nothing nowhere on the program did they tell me it was going to be a $70.00 charge. I called them when their phone number showed up on my Bank Statement, and I was told that there was a 7 day clause, and I could no longer recieve my money back. I told them that I was on a limited income, but they said that the 7 day stood and would not be refunded.
I told them that I got an error message on my computer that said "could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed."
But they still would not refund my money. I think fraud charges should be filed against this company and should make them refund the $70.00, because they are playing with seniors on limited income.

scam
Charges credit card for software that you can purchase for free. Terrible company. Bad scam. This company needs to be stopped. Complain to the Better Business Bureau of Florida and let your credit card company know of the company and the scam so they can flag them when charges appear. Don't give up. Demand a refund. Call the company 1-800-784-3167

Did not receive product/overcharged
I supposedly purchased Adobe Reader 9.0. It was supposed to be $19.95. But they actually charged my credit card $52.92. Then when I tried to download the software, I wasn't allowed to login. I was directed to technical support . When I contacted the email address given under Software HQ technical support, I received an email stating that I hadn't purchased it from them, but that they were aware of a company using that name who had been defrauding people.
