when I started working at sonic I noticed my tips were not right. I started keeping my scans and the scans were a different amount that I owed than the computer was showing. the night manager called the program for help cause it was saying that all three carhops were short $90.00. but anyway, I had the manager to print out a scan chart of the i.d. #17, which I was that night and it totaled $404.00 but the computer showed $453.00 making me take $49.00 out of my tips when I knew it wasnt right. I went and talked to the owner he had all kinds of excuses saying maybe Im not a good carhop, or how can he believe the scan chart he only believes the computers total. this has been going on for a while and not just with me but the other carhops too. their young so they dont say much, but Im 43 years old and I do know better. we leave work sometimes with $3.00 and thats happened several times. if you dont pay him out of your tips he will take it out of your paycheck. and that is illegal. if you can help us in this matter please let me know. the owner isnt going to do anything about it. he told me that I was making him mad!!
