unsanitary behavior by a manager
The manger had shoulder length hair with no hat on his head. He scratched his head, flipped his hair and ate the tater tot as he but them in the sack. We were at this store on 6/15/2011, 9:46p.m.

Beware of Working Here!
Beware of working here... I transferred from another location and have never been treated with such disrespect by a GENERAL MANAGER. She frequently flew off the handle, berating employees in front of customers... The first and last time I was the subject of her rage/bad day, I quit the next day. Customers pulled up in the drive-through saw/heard EVERYTHING and had a look of pure disgust on their faces... Not to mention the constant sexual harassment by cooks, with NO action taken by the employer. I would never imagine an employer treating their employees the way she did! Or saying the things she said! All because she was stressed out... uh... two words: Bad Management. To say the least!
I will NEVER be a patron of this Sonic! And it's the only one around! Keep in mind I worked at a few different locations about an hour away and have absolutely NO problem patronizing those locations... the difference? The managers didn't treat their employees like dogs! (Actually... I treat my dog better than she treated me. Lol.) Also, fellow employees would goof on/be on their cellphones CONSTANTLY without reprimand... because they were related to her or the woman directly under her.

Roaches
I have never seen so many roaches in one store in my 4 years of being employed with sonic drive-in. it is disgusting and they meaning roaches are every where. on top of that the store is falling apart and nothing in it works it is the BIGGEST HEALTH HAZARD i have seen in my life and needs to be condemned.

Customer Service
Unbelievably rude people! They apparently can find only kids...kids that are school drop-outs. Screwed up our order, and when we verified it with them, they treated us as if we had the issue. We weren't rude...we weren't mean...just simply asked if our order had been taken down accurately, because what the girl repeated back was not what we had ordered. Just childish, idiotic, immature, and rude people. We WILL NOT be back.

Stupid People
I've worked for sonic going on two years...I moved fast in the beginning. Hired as a cook, within a month i was crew leader...have been ever since. Just recently I fought for a asst manager position...got it, and lost it. Here's how:
Troy is the area supervisor and I swear to you he is on illegal addictive stimulants. This guy has to carry around multiple chap stick...sticks b/c he is forever flailing his tongue around while in deep thought. Keep in mind...this guy is in charge of five stores. One of which, his wife is the GM of. Favoritism much?

Our GM has decided it's not his job to perform physically. He is to manage. Which is cool...if he could delegate responsibilities correctly. So, he spends his days at the desk on the mother fucking phone bitching people out while we're getting our asses handed to us on a 1500 dolla lunch with three fucking people in the kitchen. Myself, and two lesbians. One is short, fat, and black. This bitch cant reach the buns. and the other walks like a fucking turtle with tits. Ryan is also a big fucking pussy. There's been more one week suspensions from this place than I ever saw in public school. This past month a guy put tape over the cameras...two boxes of chicken and meat come up missing...the guy gets suspended for a week. Two days after he returns...he quit.
Darnell is a black guy whose sole intention is fucking all the carhops and getting over on anyone he can. His jokes are intolerable...yet, are tolerated. He has made several very crude, mean remarks to a girl who works with us who has brain damage. Calling her a whore and telling her to fuck off. Joke or not, this is a business. Nobody should have to work in that kind of environment. Especially, someone with brain damage.
Anna: An angry, Puerto Rican who stand but five ft tall. She hates the entire world and takes every opportunity to let you know. Racial slurs are far too common. She has targeted a few employees who ultimately moved to a different store. She has worked for sonic for nearly ten years and is only 26...and is only an asst manager. She hangs around people who she feels are beneath her to make herself feel better.
Shancy. This bitch! She runs night-shift...if thats what u can call it. Numerous calls to corporate about her shift. Police have shown up I believe it to be 5 times now for various reasons...on her shift. A kid stole 300 bucks out of the drawer...and because shancy didnt count it down...they didnt find out until the next day. While watching video from that particular night, Ryan, sees shancy and a crew member doing "naughty time". On the clock. In the store. Fraternization! Through 57% mystery shops, uncounted money, sex with employees, police, and numerous sync reports from corporate...she hasnt even received a week's suspension.
Whats my position in all this? Well, lets just say that people HATE hearing the truth. I've been the subject of many verbal assaults and more than a lifetime's worth of gossip has filtered through my ears about myself. In fairness...I have blown up a few times. Definitely warranted, but could have been handled more level-headed and with much less attention.
In summation: To work for this particular chain of sonics I would suggest heavy amounts of drugs. Often, which, can be purchased from one of the cooks and/or managers. YES this happens at my sonic. Daily.
Fuck sonic, Troy, and all the "mngmnt staff" at Sonic. Kharma bitches.

I got a crispy chicken sandwich. It was so tough I couldn't hardly eat it. We had ordered and taken our food home so couldn't tell them there.

Unprofesssinal staff
I was hired on at Sonic as a fountain person. When I arrived I was not trained on anything and the guy that was supposed to be training me was very unprofessional. He was using profanity the whole time and everything he was trying to explain to me was wrong. I was not even trained and he expected me to get everything the first time. He was very rude. He started throwing things and this was my first night on the job and he expected me to already know the job without even having Sonic experience. I never experienced nothing like this. Also other empolyees that work there were very bossy and rude with no respect. I was put ont he schedule only two nights a weeek and those nights made to go home after only being there two hours. I called in sick one day and was fired because the rude manager said I only work two nights a week which was not my fault and I am not dependable. This action was unacceptable because you do not fire a person for being sick. I will report her to the Dept. of Labor. Also the manager needs to be terminated.

ANYONE WITH A COMPLAINT
This is a simple solution to your complaints regarding Sonic Drive-In's across America. If you experience a problem, simply call 1800-OKSONIC. The customer service representatives will resolve your issue and send a trouble ticket to the affected store and the store franchisee. If problems are not resolved at a store, the store can be stripped of franchisee rights and be forbidden to open.

labor/hours/pay
A loved one who suffers health problems is paid about $3/hour by this company and was just put to work on 3 12-hour shifts. This company is exploitive.

Sloppy Food/Terrible Service
Sonic has some good food, but the trouble you have to go through to get it, is just really not worth it. To sum it up, my Footlong cheese coney barely had any cheese or chili, and what was put on there, was done very sloppy. Got some ice cream, and it was a dead spider one time...decided to try again for the second time hoping service and food would be better, and it was a long strand of hair in the ice cream. A couple of times, the burgers were cold...we took them back, and got nothing but attitude from the workers and the manager.
