Bad food
Two weeks ago we stopped at this Sonic for dinner. In the past we have always enjoyed eating at this particular Sonic. However, on this occasion my tator tots were old and cold. I called them and they replaced my tator tots with hot ones straight from the fryer. This past Thursday at approximately 4:30 P.M. my husband and I stopped at Sonic and placed our order. The person taking our order cut me off before I completed my order. I had to call them back to finish placing my order. It took 10 minutes before we received out order. When our order came, it was wrong--I had ordered a combo and was charged separately for each item instead of one combo price. We had no napkins, no salt, no pepper, and no peppermint. We had to call them out to bring these items. The hamburger buns were stone cold. My hamburger patty was also stone cold. I ended up throwing my hamburger in the garbage.
This use to be the best Sonic anywhere around but I won't be going back anytime soon. Thank you for letting me vent. However, it is very bad service and bad food that has prompted this correspondence.

Overcharging!
Okay, so I try to pull into the donut place this morning, and there is a line 4 cars deep. No time, on the way to work. I pull back out onto the road and pass a Sonic, and I think, "hmmm. I remember seeing these cinnamon rolly things on TV. Maybe this would be a good time to try them. I have two dollars on me. I pull into the place and order a large order. She tells me that will be a few pennies away from three dollars. I'm thinking, my goodness, three bucks would have bought six donuts, so this must be a large order. I can share them with co-workers. The girls hands me this bag and when I got to work, there is a small package of five of these little one inch long biscuit things. What a rip off!!!
The entire order shouldn't have been more than a buck! Never again!!!

Charge for water!
My wife and I were eating there and she had a water with her meal. She finished her water and wanted some more. Being the nice guy that I am, I got out of my truck and brought inside my wifes cup for a refill on water. Some little punk under age supervisor told me he would not refill my wifes cup with water and told me to go back to my car. I said I still want some water for my wife. He said he would have one of the girls bring it to me. I said ok. She brings it to me with a TICKET for 30 cents plus tax.

Manager
i am not sure what to do about our manager. I worked at a different sonic before and we were never treated this poorly. He constantly yells, calls girls bitches, makes fun of us when we ask for change and harrasses the girls by touching their lower backs. on halloween he put his arm around me for a picture and squeezed my side. I just got back from the ER and it turns out I have stress ulcers. They would not let me leave sonic even though I was crying in pain. Turns out the outside lining of my stomach was burnt off due to stress. I don't want to lose my job, but I don't know if I can handle the abuse by our manager anymore and the favortism. If he likes you and you flirt with him, he wil give you a lot of hours. otherwise, he wont give you hours and say its the main company that doesnt want him giving people too many hours.

Very unprofessional manager behavior
I went to sonic the other day by my house and i go there often because my kids love their drinks. As i was ordering i look in and see one of the managers canoodling with one of the carhops. Well i happen to know that girl and she's only 17 and i know he's way above her age limit plus its very unprofessional and i can't believe that the general manager is allowing a 20 something manager who is supossed to set an example for the other employees mess around with another employee who is underage.

Poor service!
I am very disappointed in the Sonics Drive In located in Central, LA. You would think that a business that mostly employees a lot of high school children would be a great place for your child to start his or her first job, but its not. The children are mistreated, they don't have descent crew leaders to supervise them. The crew leaders and managers are all under the age of 25. There handbook for guidelines and rules are not being followed, and are mostly broken by the crew leaders/managers. The managers have their family members and friends who are not on the payroll for carhopping at Sonic and making tips. The family and friends come their and make the tips the kids come to work to make. These children are not being properly trained to work, but are mistreated and are not treated equally. One of the supervisors comes in and talk on her cell all day, and when she is not doing that she is outside smoking. Sometime she will leave and call back and ask the manager on shift at the time to clock her out. I think its great how she is teaching the kids to cheat the system. The employed students are told they have to pay for their lunch but the supervisors munch and eat all day for free, and their family members eat free too. The managers bring their toddlers there to distribute condiments, and the babies are tip for this. I didn't know babies could even be on the work site. They curse the kids that work for them and treat them with great disrespect and the customers as well. They are rude and unpleasant managers/crew leaders. They are always right and the customer is always wrong and mistreated. If the children call in sick for missing one day they have to go to the doctors and get an excuse. If they don't come with an doctors excuse they will be written up or fired. However this rule doesn't apply to everyone it depends on how much they like you. If the kids disagree with them they will find away to fire them, or make their life so miserable they will quit. The children quit not because they want to, but because they are treated so unfairly. This Sonic doesn't help our children at all, but it makes them fear their superiors. I don't know if all the Sonics are like this, but the Sonic in Central LA is very cruel to our kids and their customers. There have been many complaints made about the dissatisfaction of the food and service but nothing has been done to correct this problem and nothing will be done. I just telling my story, and making a complaint on behalf of my child. My child came home many days in tears, and angry. One time he was so upset he made his self sick and threw up for hours. He is no longer employed with Sonic but has a better job with Chick Fil A, with a supervisor who is 32 years of age, and crew leaders who are in college. Trust me it makes a difference.
Signed,
Angry Parent

Attendant never returned with my change
My neighbor and I went to the drive-in window at the sonice in trinity, texas and ordered three (3)
Chocolate brownie blasts, which came to $7.11.
I paid with a $20.00 bill and the attendant brought the three blasts but turned and left the window while my neighbor and I were trying to get the blasts in the car without spilling them all over the front seat....needless to say, the attendant never returned with my change. When I returned home and realized what had happened I called and was told she had already gone home but her register came up short. I spoke to another attendant the next day and was told the same thing but she would have the manager call me. Needless to say, he has not called me yet and I am out $13.00. They have ways, here in trinity to get around things like this so may I ask for the main office of Sonic drive-ins so I may make
My complaint there? Any help would be appreciated.
I am a retired 80 year old lady on a limited income and this should not have been.
Thank you, anyone, who can offer a suggtestion to help me with this or just help me find the address or e-mail address to sonic's main division.
Thank you for listening,
Betty Pinkston.
