I was training to be a manager at this Sonic and the training manager was horrific she and her crew were, vulgar, rude, crude, verbally abusive, unethical... and of no help to my training what so ever and how could she be, the manager i mean, she was never there. I had to learn the store operations from the manuals because the crew did not care whether or not i was trained they made no effort to come to me and say "we are going to train you in this area today because the manager never gave them instructions on where and in what area to put me. When they did try to train me they would set me up to fail so they could criticize me for doing it wrong right in front of the other employee's and they would laugh at me and say remarks like "i can't believe they a making her a manager" "she's an F----- idiot" they got a kick out of it, because they were the type of people who had a position of authority and ridiculed, disgraced and tortured me and the other crew members, and would dangle there jobs in front of there face because they knew they could get away with it. When i told the manager about it she did nothing. When i asked the DM to be moved to another store to complete my training he did nothing. They would play music on the radio that consisted of back that thing up, let me put it in... in the mixed company of men and women, but what concerned me most was the fact that there were teenagers working there and i don't think the parents would have appreciated that had they known and i was witness to a supervisor screaming at a young girl that worked there and had i been that child's mother i would have had that person arrested for verbal abuse and terrorist threatening . I had one supervisor tell me to get my head out of my ass and that she was tired of telling me how to do things. I had one young girl that worked there beg me to please not be mean and cruel to my employee's when i went to my store, i even had several of her employee's want to transfer to my store. They also did not want me to take any breaks and i would put in 10 hour days so that was not going to fly with me and that is one of the reasons they hated me because i would not let them push me around like one of there employee's and i took my breaks. Then they would run tell the DM that i would not ask for the breaks and i was going over there heads or ignoring them, but the point is even if i did ask them for a break they would have said no and at no time during my shift would they have come to me and asked me if i would like to take my break now. The crew finally got to the DM and he let me go. Which really was a blessing because i have to say this was the worst job i have every had in my life and i have never seen so many hateful demonic people all in one place under one roof and i hope i never experience this type of treatment ever in my life time again. My advise to anyone thinking about working for a Sonic, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN and please parents do not let your children work there, not a good place to work. I have been working for sonic. For 2 year's now and a very hard worker at that and when asking my boss for a ray's. He had told me that if i could get the time's down he would think about giving me one. but when letting him know that i only could. Do so much as a cook he said nothing. I work very hard for sonic and I love working there it's a fun job and the people are good. I have a little boy that i am trying to take care of but when working for this sonic i feel as if i am going no where. I would love someone's help on this pls. my name is matthew elijah queen. I'm sick of hearing complaints about carhops asking if the customer wants change. These people work for $3.50 an hour ever since SONIC decided they couldn't afford to pay servers. Someone said they won't tip for a carhop to walk 10 feet to deliver them food. Well, why don't you get off your fat ass and walk for it yourself, you lazy loser?!? I worked for Sonic when they still paid minimum wage, and we were always surprised to get tips. Now, these people depend on it, because SONIC CORP. if sofa king cheap!!! For any of you carhops that read this, I STRONGLY recommend that you start bringing your own bottles of "WATER" to work and carrying them on you. When you can tell that someone's not going to tip you, and I know that you can tell...Pour the "WATER" in their food. Just make sure you piss in the bottle first!!!

You fat, lazy idiots!!! Get out of your air conditioned car and WALK to get some food. I swear that EVERYONE in this country is too obese to be allowed to live!!!

It's obvious that Sonic has no concern about the quality of service provided at their stores. Their website only gives you a phone # to contact them which leads to nowhere. I thought their store in Hinton, TX [located in a travel plaza] was closed when I arrived in the mid afternoon. The place was filthy in front and behind the counter. Some of the employees were outside and some were in the, I'm assuming, office area. The 2 young girls that came out of the office area were rude and acted like it was an inconvenience to take my order.
I had questioned what condiments came on the burger and they couldn't tell me and would just put on what I wanted. At this point I asked to speak to a manager and I was informed they didn't have one there. I decided to leave. I've only eaten at Sonic once before and decided that this experience will send me hunting for a burger king or mcdonalds if I really crave a fast food burger.

I'm a manger at Sonic drivein and I think its bull crap how the other mangers get more hours than me and also when I do work I can't even work an eight hour shift... My general manger seems not to care as much. I would really like to have something done but the big boss and others are like her best friend so they would do anything for her and not the workers..
