Awful experience
We bought a Sony DCR-TRV19 camcorder for $450.00 from Best Buy in December. Although it is out of warranty which was only for 90 days we've only used it two times for only a total of 8 hours. The Video unit has gone dead. Initially Sony wanted $346 to repair it. But after several conversations and chats with customer service representatives, they offered to repair it for labor only of $233. A search on google for "trv19 blank screen" reveals several other consumers with a similar experience to mine. I believe they have a defect in the manufacture of these and similar handy cam models. I feel cheated as if Sony has stolen our money. I am disappointed with their product report and had naively expected that they would repair it for free, or replace the unit. This did not happen. My only recourse is to refuse to buy Sony Products and to post this complaint here and at other internet electronic review websites.

Terrible company

Poor customer service
I purchased a Sony 46" Bravio LCD model number KDL-46V4100 3 months ago from a local retailer in Kansas City. Within 3 months of purchase the TV wants to power cycle itself every 15-20 seconds. I called customer service and they told me I would have to have the TV fixed by a local authorized repair center. All of the local authorized repair centers are only open 8AM-5PM CST Mon-Fri. I work for a living and I can not take any more vacation for the year. I called back and talked to Sony's no-customer service to explain the problem and ask for a solution.
The customer service rep made it sound like it was my fault that I couldn't get off during business hours to have their defective product fixed. She did not have any solutions for me. It was not until I pressed her to speak to her supervisor that she told me my only other option was to write a letter to the Sony Executive Review board. The Sony Executive Review board was her supervisor and there was no way that I was going to get any kind of problem resolution on the phone with her or anyone else for that matter.
I wrote a letter. Spent the $20 to overnight it and confirm delivery confirmation to wait to get an answer on what Sony is going to do to fix my paperweight, formerly known as a Bravio TV. I still have not heard any response yet from Sony.
Do not buy a KDL-46V4100 46" Sony Bravio LCD TV unless you have an unlimited amount of vacation to take when, not if, the TV breaks.

I will never buy a Sony product again
I purchased a Sony TV and about six months after we had it the picture started going bad. In April, 2007 it got so bad we could hardly see the picture. I called Sony extended warranty service, good until 2010, it was picked up. They had it for over two weeks before they brought it back. About ten months later the same thing happened and again I called Sony .It was picked up again. This time they had it for over 6 weeks before they brought it back. After a short time it went bad for the same thing again, but only this time Sony refused to fix it saying that it exceeded my warranty coverage and wanted to send me a refund check for around $134.00 on the $305.87 I paid them for coverage. I thought Sony was a good company. I will never buy a Sony product again!

I hate Sony
Holy crap SONY CANADA ***!!! Not only tot hey provide the worst in Camera technology but when their dumb *** breaks they refuse to fix it! There was a small scratch on the top left hand corner and the refused to fix it even though they had the *** camera for 3 months which is about how long I owned the camera for...stopped working on my vacation never got any pics and now I spent 500.00 on the camera and a couple accessories and have nothing to show for it!!! I swear the Sony Canada really don’t have a great customer service at all

Warranty not honored as promised!
I now have the 2nd replacement that Sony has sent me that is not "refurbished" by their own definition. I have reported this to Sony and to the Better Business Bureau.
It appears that the PSP has had many complaints and the customer service department has treated others rudely just as they did me. Sony needs to stop making the PSP if you can not produce a product that lives up to its warranty description. Sony is offering a replacement product that is supposed to function as a new product but instead is scamming people into paying them an additional $89.00 for an already overpriced hand held is unacceptable that does not work. Sony is promising, on page 138 of the PSP Instruction Manual in the warranty that they will replace within a year with a new or refurbished PSP. Sony defines "refurbished" as has been restored to it's original specifications. Well, I am sure I was not the only unlucky consumer to be shipped 2 "refurbished" PSP's that were not restored to the original specifications. I am highly angry that Sony will not refund my $89.00 or replace this 2nd "refurbished" PSP with a new one. They requested that I pay to ship this back to them for an additional charge for me. This is crazy. It is insane that I would have to put more money into Sony's worthless product and they are accepting NO responsibility for the lack of offering a product that is not of the standards they describe in their manual and their warranty agreement.
I too have talked with a Supervisor. It took two phone calls to get one that would talk to me. The first one did not feel that I should tie up their time. The second one, simply had the same attitude Sony must promote. They did not care. Sony does not seem to mind if you are not pleased with the product they offer you. They are selling plenty of defective products and since they get the money on the front end, the consumer is just out of luck.
I have $390.00 invested in just this little hand held apparatus not including the games and IT DOES NOT WORK!!! I am interested in a class action lawsuit. If anyone else has been treated unjustly by Sony or feels that Sony has provided this same service to them, let me know.
