I bought Sony Ericsson mobile on 3rd May 2009. From day one I noticed that the phone goes off from the network if its kept idle (no phone calls received or made). This is noticed in the mornings when the phone was idle at nights. I can see the network signal strength and service provider's name on the phone screen, but all callers will receive the phone is switched off. But, once a call is made from that phone, it start working normal; problem is when it’s idle. Mostly I notice this problem in the mornings as the phone is not used at nights.
I have visited their authorized service center, Kaizer Telecom, Vashi, Navi Mumbai twice, but the problem still persists. First time on 2nd July (Work order No: SE309KT110030) collected same day. Second time on 23rd July (work order no: SE309KT110295) and collected on 30th July. During this period they were supposed to have tested the phone, don't know what they checked because when I went to collect the phone, the battery was in discharged condition - I couldn't even check if it’s in order.
Upon reaching home I charged phone and noticed that the keys were depressed inside and upper cover popping up. I have taken up with Ms. Shalini Sharma of Sony Ericsson (
[email protected]) but she is also not responding now. First time she responded and arranged a stand by set because the service centre wanted my hand set for a week to 10 days to test and have it replaced from the company.
Now I am totally convinced that this set could be a problem and need replacement of this hand set. My expectation is justified because, the set couldn't be repaired in spite of giving for service two times and the hand set beauty is diminishing with the way the set is handled at the service centre.
