Junk
I bought a tv 4 1/2 years later its junk, I called tech support and they know how to unplug for five minutes and try again. Hell everybody tries that before they call. Why would they expect us to then drive forever to a sony repair shop hours away to spend a few hundred fixing a tv that only lasts a short bit. I used to prefer sony I have a camera, camcorder, dvd/vcr combo but after this last experience and seeing the reviews of sony I dont see me purchasing sony in the future!

not opperating
Playstation is not working. Both USB ports will not charge the controller, and the system freezes every time I play it.. Consistant problem since I purchased the PS3.

bad product
Bought a Sony 60" HDTV 15 months ago and picture is now crapped out. Maybe this is just an isolated problem but here is a heads-up just in case...repairs will be in the hundreds of dollars...my bad for not getting (paying a lot for) and extended warranty...but on a $2000 machine I expected quality
Did not get it, in this case. No more Sony stuff

Sony Mylo COM-2
I got my sony mylo as a present for my 16th birthday, after months of anticipation i couldn't wait to use it and immediately began to take pictures and video. I invested money into the partnered skype account and called a friend. This was the first and last call i have been capable of making. For about a week the internet and everything that went along with it worked. I was able to check my email on the go and everything else advertised with the mylo. however, as i stated i haven't been able to do anything since then. This product is no longer living up to what it was advertised as. The internet won't connect and it has become useless to me. I contacted sony's tollfree number and every time the people on the other end of the line were absolutely useless leaving me more frustrated than when I began. Basically, my parents paid over $200 dollars for nothing.

bad laptop&bad customer service
I bought a laptop no more than six months ago. I have had problems ever since. I have been to the store 10 times. the last time was the worse. That day i was there 3 times. the next day they were suppose to call. they didnt! when i called i talked to a manager that was very rude. they act like they were put out. but im the one spending time and gas. i dont understand? wHAT HAPPEND TO CUSTOMER SERVICE??????? I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!!MAYBE IF EVERYONE WOULD STOP BUYING THEY WOULD HAVE TO SELL THINGS THAT WORK RIGHT AND GET TRAING TO BE POLITE. I HAVE TRIED TO BE PATIENT BUT WHEN I GET TREATED LIKE I AM DUMB AND SPOKEN TO RUDELY THAT MAKES ME VERY UNHAPPY. I ASKED IF I COULD BE REIMBERSED FOR THE GAS. YOU KNOW WHAT THE ANSWER WAS TO THAT! ITS LIKE THEY COULD CARE LESS. I HAVE BEEN A HARD WORKING SINGLE PARENT, THAT LAPTOP WAS FOR MY SON FOR COLLEGE. IDONT HAVE THE MONEY TO WASTE.AND THATS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE DONE.

multiple broken products
My husband and were loyal sony customers. we purchased a video camera, playstation, digital camera, dvd/vcr combo, and two tvs. Our first tv lasted 3 years and broke. We had it fixed and it broke again. We figured that was just our luck then our second tv broke in dec we havent even owned it 4 years. our playstation has had to get sent in to get fixed as well as our video camera!!! We thought with a name like sony we would be getting a better product. My husband contacted the sony store where the item was purchased all receipts in hand and we were told by the manager that he couldn't do anything. The only number we received was to tech support where we were told to unplug the tv plug it back in and count the flashing standby light!!! The tv weighs over 200lbs and isnt easy to move anywhere!!! I will never again purchase a sony product and i will gladly tell everyone i know what a rip off it is. Nearly $2000 later and the only tv that works in our home is a 10 year old $150 tv how do you like that!!!

Bad service
Buy any product from this company and you will wait on the phone line for 45 minutes if you ever need customer service. You'll then be introduced to the most illogical business practices I've ever experienced. Take it from a once loyal Sony consumer, things have changed in this company. Bad service
Sony offered $150 credit promotion on a Playstation 3 if I took out a Sony Rewards credit card and bought a Playstation 3. I took out the card and bought the Playstation, but no $150 Credit will be issued, since I bought the Playstion off a link from the credit card app to Sony Style website versus some other Sony website.
Score another one for the "gotcha" clause.

Poor customer service
I needed to repair my laptop, but they still had my money from the first case I opened, which I immediately closed via phone asking for a full refund. The customer service officer told me my money would be refunded to me, but a month later it still hasn't. The actual repair (from the second case, which I paid for) has also taken over a month to fix, with a lot of grief and premium rate phone charges. In total it has cost me nearly £1000 in expenses! Do not get a Sony laptop fixed by Sony if it's out of warrantee.

Shocking customer services
Having purchased a brand new Sony Vaio laptop on the 19th September 2008 it's hard drive failed after just 5 weeks. Sony took away the laptop and replaced the hard drive. When asked if we could get the old hard drive back to retrieve all our data and files we were told that this would cost £150!
Sony 'customer serfvices' rationale was that we agreed to this on the initial call to report the failure. PC World, who sold us the Sony referred us straight back to Sony to undertake the repair, should've according to Sony retrieved the files and data for us first.
Incredible that a company like Sony chooses to treat customers this way, not enough that it's products are clearly inferior.
A Dell in my office had a screen failure yesterday. They despatched an engineer to repair it at no cost to them the next day with an apology for the inconvenience.
Lesson learned. Never, ever but a Sont product ever again.
