I bought a Sony VAIO F Series on 5/30/2010 at Best Buy Costa Mesa for $1, 500 after tax. Before I made the final purchase, I asked nearly three different associate (one was assistant manager of the store) just to make sure about their return policy. Basically, if laptops that you bought is defective within 14 days, you can return it with full refund...

well...shit happens after the 3rd day i bought it. The "enter", "+", and "backspace" key on numeric keypad start to make squeaking sound as i press them. My job is an accountant therefore it requires me to work on numeric keypad constantly. By the end of the 10th night, i finally couldn't stand it so i had no choice but to return it for a refund. I wasn't around the area of Costa Mesa, therefore i went to the store at Cerritos, CA. I gave my laptop to a Geek Squad associate and had him tested on the keys that were defective. He had confirmed that the keys are defective and told me to grab another one from shelf for an exchange. Unfortunately, they were out of stock. So i had to go to the best buy located at Tustin, CA.

I walked up to the customer service counter and told the girl what the problems are. The girl couldn't really spot the problem so she had to call Geek Squad to test it. As the Geek squad kept on press these defective keys, I've already heard the squeaking sound. However, geek squad jsut kept on saying " i couldn't hear it...i couldn't hear it..." his attitude was so fxxxking rude that he finally told me " well...this keyboard is defective but it is still in working condition...therefore, we can't give you any refund and we will only honor exchange..."

what a bs...it is defective but still in working condition?...so they expect me to pay $1, 500 to buy a defective but a workable laptop?...how can he be a technician at best buy?...wtf...

so i was like "ok..."F" you...", but i was trying to get the issues resolved so i had to put smile on my face... ...then i told him that i would like to get an exchange...

i then turn to the girl at customer service counter and asked her "...this computer is currently the most expensive one within your store, if i pick another one that is cheaper than this one, can i get a refund for the difference?"

she said " nope...you have to get something equal or greater in value"...so i was like again..."ok...F you..."

at the end...i had to pick a toshiba satellite laptop with i7 processor which has the closet spec compared to VAIO F Series...the girl had refund me the different back onto my card for $500...

I had such a bad experience with Best Buy now...they gave you sooooo much trouble when you return their stuff...

I WILL NEVER RETURN TO BEST BUY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE...
