Having booked our first ever cruise we thought we had covered everything only bef to arrive at the notified time in your info to find Dock eight closed notified togo to dock 10.sign not visable had to re-route and wait in line of traffic, we directed to car park eight only to be told car park full and proceed to the terminal where someone would tell us were to park. having done as told, the car park attendent instruted me to off load our luggage, wheelchair etc and go and park ina car park not disabled and then walk back to the port terminal and load my luggage on a trolley whereby it would be taken on board. having made sure before booking that we would have assistance with our two disabled young men we were left to sort everything ourselves by loading our son in his wheelchair taking luggage over to the port terminal together with pushing him and assisting the other young disabled man luggage etc onto the ship. I would just like to draw to your attention that the service received at Southampton makes one feel was it really worth paying al that money for a nightmare start to a family holiday.
I hope you will reply to my complaint and try to ensure that disabled families receive some help especially when we were first time cruisers, we picked royal carribean We Sailed on Indenpence of the Seas 25th Sept - 9 Oct10.
