I bought some space bags from www.spacebag.co.uk. All fine, product was good, delivery good, no issues. A couple of months later, I was called by SpaceBag with a customer satisfaction survey - was I happy, did I notice some clips in the packs etc. All very friendly - at the end of the survey, the operator asked if I'd like a free trial of Breaks4Free. I said yes.
A brochure arrived, a fairly useless looking product I thought so was about to bin it but glanced through the long letter with it that said that in 30 days, I would automatically be enrolled as a full member and my card would be billed for £99.00 The letter said I was told about this in the phone call, which of course I wasn't. So Home Shopping hold your credit card details, sell or pass them on to another company who bill you £99 unless you specifically ring and say no.
I'm talking to Trading Standards on Monday to see if this is legal and I have asked Home Shopping (SpaceBag) for a copy of the recording of the telephone conversation.
This feels like a totally dishonest operation.
