all i want to say is that the Fresno SPCA is either discriminating against people...or they're just corrupted...i believe it's both..these people at the shelter makes it seem like they're caring people, but they're not...they might care a little about animals, but mainly it's an income for them...but they don't give a damn about the adopters or the owners trying to look for their pets...especially the people at the adopting center...im not talking about the volunteers...but its the people that you see everyday...
just note..."they keep and try to keep the cuttiest or the most interesting pets to themselves" they tried doing that to me and they're were trying to hide a nice looking cockatiel from me...but at the end, i proved them wrong and pretty much slapped their faces and i adopted the bird, taking him away from those greedy, selfish people...
you do not have to read my story...but if you feel like it...just to let you know its a long story but it reveals a "messed up side" of the fresno spca...and if you're one of the workers there that day April 4th, 2011...8:00am . and you're reading this...you know you f up...and im gona try to get you all fired...especially the fake as supervisor...so watch out soon...
You see...i've adopted pigeons there before..so the first day, april 4th 2011..i went there to check out if there were any pigeons or birds of any kind there, because raising bird is one of my hobby's...so i got at the stray center around 3pm almost 4pm...and thats where they usually keep the pigeons before the move it to the far back area...but that day, there wasnt any birds...so i asked a worker who was cleaning, i asked if he's seen any birds today and he said he saw them take a cockateil to the adoption center...so i figured, since ive been thinkinbg about getting a parrot, im gona check it out...so me and my girlfriend walked over to the adoption center, and when we got inside, the lady asked nicely, "hi can i help you?'" and i told her that i wanted to adopt the cockatiel and she said..."its passed 4pm" meaning i cant adopt after 4pm...so i was like, its cool and i understand...but i was thinking, it was only a few minutes pass 4pm? but it wasnt a big deal at that time...so i planned to come the next morning at 7am before they even open the doors to any adopters...so me and my girl got there at 730am...and the doors were open but adopting wasnt allowed til 8am...so we waited...and then i saw the girl that DIDNT help us from the day before, and she walked in and didnt even look at us, but she knew we were there, i saw her glance...so now there's 2 ladies in the front counter...the next thing you know...a guy comes from the back and asked us..."hey can i help you" all friendly at the moment...and then i said that i was here to adopt the cockateil that was relocated from the stray to the exotic room...then the guy quickly said.."i just checked, there's nothing back there..." i was starting to suspect something immediately...and they lady next to him, which was the lady from the other day, said to her co-worker "actually, there's a cockateil and a turtle in the exotic room. " and the guy's face looked shocked and speechless...all he said back was"really" i just checked" so i told them to check again...i told them that i was here yesterday at 4pm...and the lady said that the bird was still here, but i just couldnt adopt til 8am the next morning...so from 4pm to 8am...if the bird is missing, someone illegally took him home, or is hiding the bird...after i said all that...they said they'll check again...at that point, there was about 4 to 5 workers in the front room, and they were all whispering about something, making it very suspicious and uncomfortable for me and my girlfriend...but anyways, so then they asked a guy to take me to the exotic room to checkout the bird...i got there and i immedialty grabbed the paperwork for adoption...i showed the guy the papers, but he was on the phone, whispering about something, then he got off the phone and took a quick glance and said, " i dont think you can adopt it, hes not ready" im like, what? they didnt say anything about him not being ready, so i demanded him to take the paper inside...we got inside and there was one lady and one old dude on the front counter...i asked and said, " your guy is saying that the bird is not up for adoption because all birds need to be here for atleast 4 days?" "but here on the paper, it says the bird came in on march 31, and today is april 4th, so that's clearly 4 days or more...'" and all of them looked at each other...and all of them just kept saying that its only been 3 days because they dont count the first day...none of them bothered to look at a calender...at that point, i just knew that they didnt want me to have the bird, that's why they were being careless and didnt even bother looking at the calender to make sure...and in my head, i was estimating and counting the days and i knew it had to be 4 or more days...but they just kept saying, "sorry, comeback tomoro" so im like what?????? something smells fishy and its not right...so i demanded a list or form of their rules and policy's for adopting...and i wana see where, it stated that they dont count the first day of arrival as one day...and i also asked one of the guys, "once theyre moved from the stray building to the adoption buliding, doesnt that mean theyre ready to be adopted? and the old guy just said" well birds only stay at the stray side for one day at the most, because its crowded there", but that shocked me, so i said" you say they stay there 1 day, but the bird came in since march 31, and i was told the bird was barely moved from stray to adoptions on april 3rd, that means the bird was actually there at the stray, for 4 days..." and all he said was, im not sure, i havent been here for a few days, " and at that point, i didnt even know that they guy that i was speaking to was the supervisor...so i asked again for a form of policies, and all he said was" go to strays, they should have something for you." so i got to the stray section...and as i walked in, the dude greeted me with a smile saying "hi, what can i do for you?" so i explained that they were giving me a hard time over at adoptions, so i first asked him, do you guys count the first day of arrival for animals...and he said yes...so as i explained the situation, he started being unfriendly and more quit and had that plain face like he didnt want to talk...but he did say..."yeah, the first day should count as one day, but i dont know why thay said no it doesnt"...so im like "damn these people" i was pissed...i asked him again"so if the bird came in march 31, and today is april 4th, and you guys do count the first day as one day, doesnt that mean the bird should be ready for adoption?" and he said "yeah" so i told him to call the and tell them over at the adoption center, but he said "no, just go over there and talk to the supervisor" so i was very very interested on finding out who the super was...but as we walked back...my girl friend checked her cell and she said, "dude, looking on the calender, the bird has actually been here for 5 days..." she said, "theyre just hating on us" so now im pissed and i walked in...i demanded to speak to the super. and the guy that i was talking to the whole time, cowardly presented himself with no honor, he said" yeah, im the supervisor" it was a joke to me...but not a funny joke...i was in rage...but i kept my face calm, but i was heated and i knew what they were trying to do..."keep it to themselves"
so i said to the super. "look at my calendar, the bird has been here for 5 days, even if you count the first day or not, he's been here more than four days, so im ready to take him home" and then there was a silence and the other workers was just whispering, not even working or doing anything productive, they were just there listening...and the lady next time the super said, "oh, let me check again" and she turned around and i didnt even realize...they had a big fat calendar...and then she started looking at the calendar, , , i could see in all their faces especially the super, they were all red and the super extra extra sweaty...and then the lady looks up, after going through the calender for reallly really long, she goes, "wow, we're sorry, yeah it seems like he's ready" she said again "im not sure how we made the mistake" im thinking B.S. ...and then the super takes a look at last and he goes..."yelp, they're right, just give it to them and hand them the paper work"he sounded all disappointed, with a low, unworthy tone...inside of me, i was like" hell yeah these freakin corrupted suckers" "i won their stupid kiddish fight" because what i figured was...the super wanted the bird to himself...because he later revealed that he loved birds, and he had like 5 parrots, who knows how he got them...he started telling me about his love for birds and all that crap...but before, he wanted me out of the adoption center...next time people, i you find birds or parrots, dont give it to the animal rescues, just post it up on craigs like a lot of people has been doing, that gives more justice...because they wont even give the owners a chance to find the bird...and they will never let the public have a chance to even adopt a parrot unless you catch them at the right time, luckily for me, their own worker kinda gave out their cover..because one lady even asked me, "how did you know about the cockatiel, who told you"???? suspicious right????...because they were trying to transfer the bird when it was late towards closing time, and all they had to do was keep it at the exotic room, which is always locked, the time was right and until the super could find the right time to come take the bird without looking wrong and without totally breaking the rules, but bending the rules...they were trying to be slick by not breaking the whole rule, but taking twist and turns around the rules to get away with whatever they want...im sure they always keep the best animals they like and never give people a chance, all they did was leave it at the stray room as the usually procedure, in case the owners did come...but once they knew the owners werent coming, they said' "the hell with the public, this one's mines"
to finish my story...they took me to go get the bird, and it was the lady from the day before, trying to redeem her face and her self...she was trying to act nice saying "do you have a cage for it?" but i said just a small one...but the super was there also, so the girl said again, "if you want you can keep the cage that the bird came in with" but the super said immediately, "no, we cant give him and $30 cage for a $10 bird" that was kinda offending because the lady already suggested it, she was trying to gain her reputation back, but the super is a dumb ass...oh yeah...about the bird...the price was thrown at me...when was signing the paper and about to pay...the lady said $5...but she asked the other workers for some reason, she said" how much should i charger for the bird?" because in their system, she typed in cockatiel, and it came under chickens for only $5...but she asked them for an OPINION...but not the rules...and the supervisor walked in and said, "lets just throw him a price, lets say $10" i was like what, $10...what about $5????? and the super said, no, $10...i was like man...these people doesnt know when to stop...but if figured, i already won the battle, so i had to continue through...and i knew that whoever was trying to keep the bird to themselves, they were very disappointed and jealous that day...
last words...don't have faith and trust in the Fresno SPCA...they are fakes, and they are corrupted...once i make a few phone calls and prove that they're discriminating and being corrupted...i will get justice...
by the way, all the people in the office that day were whites...and me and my girlfriend are Asians...so that kinda rings a bell...
