Special Movers, Inc. is a company run by thugs. They use a classic bait-and-switch tactic starting with a resonable quote before doubling and then more than tripling the price. Once loaded up, they price was doubled and they demanded instant cash, and two days later, all kinds of bogus charges tripled the price. I moved a TV, a stand, a room divider, and clothes and books from a 420 sq ft NYC apartment, all for wellover 3 grand. They have a team of scam artists on the phone, all women apparently - Rose, Donna, Michelle, Jasmine (probably the same person) who will pretend that earlier agreements do not hold. They demanded a Western Union moneygram payment to an unidentified individual while I was on the road to my new home (for me it is over the weekend) for the ever-increasing prices, and threatened to turn the truck back if I don't comply immediately. They said "You have 10 mins to decide, pay up or else!" It's nightmarish, and they are liars, DO NOT have any agreement with them coz they will just turn around to say what agreement? Who said so? They refused to give me a receipt for my cash and moneygram payment. It is the single worst experience of my life. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
