Waited nearly an hour for inspection.....
I went here to have my truck inspected and waited for close to an hour, before these idiots even realized it was there for inspection. When I asked the manager who took my registration in upon arrival if they knew it was there, he said they must because he put the registration in the work area somewhere. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I had to wait for three people when I got there. But when a lady's car was done that came in after me and my truck was still in the same spot, I got very irritated and demanded to the manager to go and ask them if they know it's there. So he proceeded to go into the work area and ask the employees if they knew. He came back out and said that they didn't see the registration in the place that he had put it. At this point I wanted to just get out of there, but the guy had run out to it and was pulling it in already. So he comes in after the inspection to tell me that it failed because the parking brake wouldn't hold, which didn't make sense to me because I know that you can generally get a vehicle to move with the parking brake down if you give it enough gas. At that point though it had been an hour since I arrived, and I was already so mad that I just said fine, and paid the fee. I wish I could say that this nightmare ended there, but I can't. On the way home just as I pulled in my parking spot, I realized that they never put my registration back in the truck. So I had to turn around, and waste more of my gas and time to retrieve it. When I got back there, I left the truck running right in the entrance of the place thinking that I was just going to grab it from them. Well, a different employee came out and said that my sticker that the other guy put on was invalid because he didn't scan it in!! So with my truck sitting there running, he takes out a scraper and starts scraping off the sticker he just put there to put the new one on!! Finally, at that point I'm able to leave this totally incompetent, joke of a place of business. So the next day I bring the car over to my mechanic to check it out and he put down the brake, gave it some gas and it moved a little bit. He said that there was NOTHING wrong with it, and the brakes aren't even that old. So I took it back to Speedee and the manager told me that the vehicle cannot move under 1, 200 RPM when the parking brake is down. So I said that I wanted him to come out and test it himself without being an official re-inspection and he complied. When he tested it, he said that it was moving at 1, 100 RPM so he can't pass it!!! I couldn't believe after everything I went through here the first time, he couldn't give me a break on it, or offer to do anything at all for me. So I started getting agitated and I told him how incredibly inconvenienced I was when I came in the day prior, and he just stood there like a dummy and nodded saying, "uh-huh, well you know...it was a tough day." NO APOLOGY. He never once apologized for any of it, even after telling him that I had taken mine and my wife's car there numerous times in the past and I won't come back again. He obviously has no business skills whatsoever, and either doesn't care or doesn't have any concept of customer retention. The worst part about all of this, is that it is the ONLY shop that I can go to for a free re-inspection. It's tough to have to decide to pay another $30 when I can get it done for free, but I think it's worth it to never go back there again. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he was just doing this to spite me, because he doesn't care about my business. No offer for even a discount on anything, and no apologies from any of the three employees that I dealt with. Need I say more about this place?!?! Never, ever go here for anything!! I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. They don't even realize the can of worms they just opened for treating me like total crap instead of a paying customer. This review is going to be spread on EVERY popular review website that I can find, on Facebook and anywhere else that I can post it so that many people will know in a short period of time to never do business with them. I'm going to file a formal complaint with the BBB and/or whoever I can get in contact with. I already sent a letter through their comments section of the website, and of course they never responded. They don't have any main numbers to contact any corporate personnel, probably because they're all franchises. I want to see this place go out of business. Especially in this economy, I don't wish unemployment on anyone, but they deserve to be shut down for the way that they treat people.
