Hello, my first complaint is about the Home Depot in Newington, CT, located on the Berlin Tpk. We had a new storm door put in. The installer was a man who did not speak English, was in a horrible mood, and did a lousy job installing the door! I even offered this ingrate a cold glass of water, as it was during the summer that the installation was done. He was very unprofessional in his overall attitude, looked miserable, and I think I could have done a better job myself installing the door. Oh, the top of the screen part was ripped too. So much for Home Depot! :(
My 2nd complaint is in regards to Speedy-Monro where I go used to get my oil changes and car repairs. This particular branch of Speedy-Monro is located on the Berlin Tpk. in Newington. I went there several months ago and this visit there was literally my last visit there. As I am waiting outside on the lawn for my car to go into one of the bays, I noticed a van pull up. The guy go inside and the next thing I know, this van is going into a work bay ahead of me! I have been waiting and waiting and they took this van ahead of me. Uh, not fair. I go back inside the waiting room and the manager asked where I was. I told him I was outside on the front lawn, so he must have known that I saw the van go in ahead of my car, although I did not say anything. Finally, when the bill, I notice a "shop fee" of $15.98! When I asked what this was for, the manager said it was for miscellaneous screws and nuts-bolts! I asked him if they were made out of gold! Ridiculous fee to charge for a few screws.
So now, Home Depot and Speedy-Munro are off my list. Professionalism has gone out the window as far as I am concerned. Businesses just do not care how they treat their customers anymore. The help they hire are ignorant laborers who probably receive minimum wage; whatever! Enough said. Ok, I feel a little better now.
