My Volkswagen Touran's front shocks was replaced by Speedy Brits. A few days later, a noise came from front wheel area and sseing it was not a flat tyre, I drove slowly home and took the car the next day to the nearest Wheel Centre. When they removed the wheel, the centre bolt just fell out! The wheel bearing was broken in the process and my car got towed in to Speedy Brits for repair. They assessed the damage and although they kept on saying that it was the cv that is finished and this caused this bolt to become loose on its own, they were prepared to replace the wheel bearing at their cost. I got 3 different opinions from 3 different Mccarthy Volkswagen Dealerships Service Managers to which I explained the situation, I received the following answer: There is no way in the world that a cv joint that is finished, can cause this bolt to become loose on its own! In the mean time, Speedy changed their story and in the end was not prepared to pay for the bearing and kept to their story that it was not negligence on their side. I am taking this story now to the Consumer Council. Beware of this incompetent dealership!!!
