Swipebids Fraudulent Auction Scam: I was charged the $150.00 'membership' fee. The only warning I had was 'transaction processing' when I had supposedly only entered my personal information. The web pages are carefully laid out to distract you and misdirect your attention away from the fine print disclaimers which they will then point out as evidence that you were warned. The customer service number 1st said Monday thru Friday. When I called a second time I got a completely different menu & talked to 'Tammi' who told me that the $150.00 membership fee had already been charged & she was not authorized to do anything about it but, "how else could she help me?" I told her I would be reporting them to the FTC & the BBB.
This is not an auction site. It is more like a lottery – and a fraudulent lottery at that. They charge you just to look. The ‘winners’ seem to repeat and may be bots. Real winners are usually prevented from actually receiving their product due to some ‘technical error’. The customer service reps on the ‘live chat’ all seem to be bots. And the live chat is the only official means of legal communication.
Tell everyone you can about this scam because there is no warning before that first $150.00 transaction!
