Another Victim of Sprit Incentives
June 23, 2011
A big hoax
Spirit Incentives is a a big spam!!! First they raise your spirits high and then all shattered!! Lot of fradualant gimics. Certificated experies on one day, but bookings need 30 days prior reservation, and when you try to do that, that needs a crazy certificate registration which again takes 7-14 days for confirmation and then we send a letter back requesting dates which will be rejected, and then we reappply and then game continues until it reaches exp date and chapter closed!! SO Basically a BIG SPAM!!!

Cruise scam
I won a cruise at the state fair and ended up going through the whole thing. Finally, after waiting for over six months, I was offered my date, which was not even one of the three I chose, and I was told to use an airport out of the state I live in to get to Florida. Everything was a complete hassle, and I ended up getting my money back because they were so uncommadating. I will never trust them again! Terrible business and customer service.
It got my hopes up because I was really looking forward to it and was very patient, all for nothing. They wouldn't allow me my date of choice or airport, and they only gave one chance.

Destin Fl Hoax
May 16, 2011
Hoax
Attended a 2+ hour high pressure sales presentation for time shares in Destin Fl. For attending the tour of the resort, a 3 day 2 night package at a similar resort would be our gift. After months of submitting dates that could not be met by the company, I was offered a refund. I wanted the 3 day 2 night package we were promised. We wanted to go back to Destin, on the beach, or in a similar resort as we were told. After all the dates and locations were no longer available, on our last date before my offer expired, we were offered 2 nights in a $50 Days Inn in downtown Daytona Beach. Not quite the resort we were expecting. The entire deal was to get people into a high pressure sales area to sell time shares. A complete hoax.

Travel
Hi People,
I happen to have had good experience with Spirit Incentives product. If you have a valid certificate from Spirit that you intend to throw away, why not donate it to me. I can put these ceritificate to good use with local charities by booking trips for the local senior community. They have a lot of time but no money, and would be happy to be given a trip any date any time as long as there's someone who can help them with all the paper work and jump all the hoops.
Why waste it than putting it to a good use. You can contact me at [email protected]

"Free" cruise costing $800
I followed their process for my free 3 night cruise plus airfare. When the time to book my cruise came, I called and went through the start of the booking process.
First problem is the itinerary. We wanted a 3 night cruise from LA to Mexico. The only option they gave us was a cruise from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas.
Second problem (and the deal breaker) was the total for my "free cruise": $800.00.
I have no problem with the upcharge for room ($150.00.)
I have a problem with the following:
1) The only date they offered us happened to be January 7th. Which means we have to pay $200 in upcharges for "high travel time." We never would have picked this date if we had know that it was considered a peak travel time. The only "advice" we were given when picking dates was that summer and early fall is considered peak.
2) The "taxes, port fees" came out to be $442.00. When looking at the same exact cruise online, the total taxes and such for the cruse was only $118.00 for 2 people. Add on an additional $50 for airline taxes and that comes to less than $200. How they got to $442 we don't know. I wish I had asked the representative to break the costs down even further.
I believe that they drastically inflate the taxes so that they make back the $$ they are "spending" on the actual cruise.

Scam
Went to timeshare seminar and was promised free cruise. I was only responsible for boarding fees and taxes. $198.00 check was cashed on 9/16/10. As of today 9/30/10, no response via mail, email, or phone. Not to mention $200.00 for passports for my 11 yr. old daughter and me and the disappointing look on her face when she saw all the other complaints. There was someone who was attempting a class action lawsuit, please contact me at [email protected]. I want in, I believe do unto others. I would never and can not imagine how people can live with themselves. I can provide all necessary paperwork evident to claim as a scam.

refusal to refund deposit
It appears that many of us have the same basic complaint: Spirit Incentive doesn't abide by the terms and conditions of the company's offer.
The $100 deposit that I sent in was supposed to be fully refundable if I made my request in writing but that doesn't appear to be the case. I'm not going to roll-over and allow them to keep my money when I followed the terms of the agreement. Is there anyone else who would like to join me in a class action suit? I'm sure there is a lawyer out there who wouldn't mind representing us. AFter all, this is America and we do have laws to protect consumer rights!

Total scam
Spirit incentives is a total scam, they take your money and then send a continuous stream of letters stating your dates are not available until you give up. Wyndham knows this and condones the practice Stay away from Sprit unless you want frustration and to lose your money. Our free cruise turned out to cost $100 to go back and forth attempting to get dates. we still have not received our refund. These people are total scam artists. The companies that give out Spirit travel certificates are just as bad if not worse. Companies such as Wyndham Vacaction Qwnership, Sundance Vacations, and Bluegreen Resorts.

Scam
This is a scam. My complaint is the same as many others have stated. Paid $100.00 booking fee, then none of the dates or destinations were available. Refused to refund booking fee. I now have 62 days before my certificate expires and Spirit Incentives said that it's too late, I needed to book 45 days out and they have another 45 days to confirm my reservations; so this is a scam. In other words they added another 45 days to the time stated on my certificate.
I will be writing the state attorney general regarding this scam.
