Scam
I applied for and received a Bank America /Working Assets credit card with a free "companion ticket", redeemable through Spirit Incentives Inc. Ft Lauderdale. When we tried to redeem, they told us the ticket had to be $300.00 or more. The next time we tried to redeem a more expensive trip they told us it had to be $369.00 or more. We called Bank America to complain, ( one hour trying to reach a person, lots of time spent on hold) and they connected us with David from Spirit Incentives Inc. We told him there was no notice of a cash ceiling written on our companion certificate. He said to fax him the certificate and he would "take care of it". When we followed up, David would not come to the phone and said he did not receive our fax. His cell phone number left on our caller ID is 212 414 0966.
This is a scam company that cannot be trusted. We have cancelled our credit card and plan to notify Bank America and Working Assets that this company is fraudulent.

Worst service imaginable and a hoax!
And it goes like this... I was presented with a Vacation Package from Spirit Incentives after reviewing a timeshare for Silverleaf Resorts. For attending the timeshare in the middle of nowhere, you are given a 'free' gift of a vacation package to the destination of your choice- Orlando, Aruba, Hawaii, Jamaica, Puerto Rico. The Vacation Package provides for two adults 5 days/4 nights hotel accommodations at those destinations. The hotels are specifically mentioned on a sheet that is given to all participants. You would be obligated to pay for airfare and all other extras, but the benefit of having a hotel paid-off as a gift is still a good thing.
Thereafter, you are to fill out a registration coupon which gets sent to Spirit Incentives with your personal info, where you wish to travel. Once Spirit Inc. receives this, they then mail back to you a Reservation Request form. Upon receipt, you are to select 3 valid dates of travel, with criteria which is reasonable. You would have to pay for hotel taxes only, which is fine as well. No big deal. The company advises that they will give you 45 days notice prior to your departure date if your dates were accepted. Of course, Spirit reserves the right on everything in their 'Terms and Conditions'.
That is where the catch is, and where there horrible service shines through. First off, they do not send back their notification to you that they cannot fulfill your request within 45 days of the departure date you request. Two, when you call their customer service, they refuse to give you any information about your request. Simply, they tell you that you should receive something in the mail. This is a huge flaw of this company. They have people who are not personable on their phone, hence providing poor customer service. They also refuse to respond and answer any questions you have except for saying that you will receive notification in the mail. In addition, their reps were extremely rude and didn't allow me to finish the questions I wanted to ask. I called back multiple times so I could see if speaking with someone different would help resolve the matter, but to no avail. RUDENESS ABOUND!
So after my first two dates were denied, I had to provide another departure date. Mind you, all dates I provided were at least a month apart and not within holidays, etc. Two weeks after I mailed in the third request, I decided to call up again to find out what was happening. At that point it was within 25 days of when I was to depart on my journey if it were going to be accepted. Once again, I received a rude rep at Spirit Incentives. They claimed that again they could not accept my dates (on their terms and conditions, they say to select 3 dates). So, I said how will you accommodate me? They responded by giving me another set of dates a month forward. So I said ok sure why not? Then, I heard their next catch. The hotel accommodations listed on their Vacation Package sheet (I was planning on Aruba, staying at Wyndham Aruba Beach Casino Resort) were not available.
So I asked are they not available at all, or for those dates in particular?
Client rep: They are not available.
Again I ask, is that hotel not available at all, or just for those dates?
Client rep: They are not available.
Then I explain to the rep that she is not answering my question, and that Im wondering if the hotel itself is not available at all or just for those dates. All I was looking was for an answer. She couldn't give me one. At that point, I asked for her manager. She put me through...it gets worse!!!
The manager gets on the line, and I pose the same question.
I say that I am willing to accept the travel dates they advised, but if they are providing me with those dates, why are they providing me with different hotels than what is on their specified getaway package? Manager says: We cannot offer that hotel as its unavailable to us for those dates we provided you. We can only provide you 'XXXX' hotel.
So I requested to change the dates they were trying to pawn on me for dates later in the year at the hotel that was specified on the package.
Manager says: We cannot do that. We can give you these particular dates, and this particular hotel, or offer you a refund. That's all.
So neither would they accept my request for 3 different sets of dates, but they would only provide THEIR dates and THEIR hotel of their choosing (not the one listed on the getaway package). And what makes it most irritating is the fact that even their manager gave me an ULTIMATUM!!! What kind of customer service is that? 'Take it or leave it'?
Upon hearing that, I was shocked, annoyed, and most of all perplexed that a company would do this. It was clear to me that everything would be on their terms and they never had any intention of fulfilling the requests their clients brought to them. They must not really have deals with the hotels, it seemed quite clear.
In addition to all of this, part of the package is you get 4 $10 gas rebate coupons which you can redeem once a month and send in the mail to Spirit Incentives. It says to allow 4-6 weeks for a response and a rebate . To this day, over 3 months after I sent my first rebate coupon and receipt, I have not received a single rebate!
I'm going to report this company to the Better Business Bureau and all message boards possible. NO ONE SHOULD USE THEIR SERVICE and "INCENTIVES". They are all a bunch of nonsense, their service is pitiful, and they do not fulfill their clients requests.

Fraud and rip off!
I was contacted by telephone to come to a vacation ownership club and for my participation I would receive a free cruise. HA HA HA! I am a seasoned timeshare viewer. I've seen lots, received lots of free gifts, and turned down every offer to buy a timeshare or be a part of a vacation club. By the way, you know how they tell you that the timeshare is completely transferable and willable etc. Well, that part is true! Go on ebay and there are lots of people trying to unload these timeshares many times just for the price of the next maintenance fee. NEVER, I repeat NEVER buy a timeshare from a timeshare company!!! Anyway, onto my complaint... First of all, the company insulted my husband and I for not being smart enough to recognize a good deal. Ha ha ha. I felt so sorry for the suckers who bought into this junk but anyway, when I left and asked for my free cruise (as promised), they said they were all out of certificates and that it would be mailed to us. Another employee, said under his voice "nothing is really free" as we left. I never expected to receive the certificate but I did about 2 weeks later so I chose my dates and send it in. I then got a bill for close to $600.00 that has to be paid within 14 days and none of my dates had even been confirmed yet and once they have the money, there is NO CHANGES allowed at all. They also told me (on the phone) that in order to upgrade to bring my infant child it would cost upwards of $700.00. Well, at that point, I decided NOT to book because I can get the same cruise from cheapcruises.com for the SAME price as the free one for just my husband and I and WAY less if I decide to bring the baby. Do your homework, find a cheap cruise, and THROW away that paperwork from Spirit. It's a FRAUD!!! Actually, If you've got money and time and sanity to throw away, go ahead with it.

Definitely a scam!
Definitely a scam. (FYI, I'm not a rookie to travel/timeshare promotions.) Received the promotion. Registered my destination and 3 dates of choice. (This used up 2 of the 12 months time allotment so far.) When attempting to make the final booking (this used up 150+ minutes of cell phone time because they keep you on hold hoping you'll give up) there was no availability for flight out of my city, the next city, or even my state. Even from NYC. They would not budge on date changes; they kept pushing me to change my destination to Orlando. Wanting the Reno destination that I chose, I kept reaching for cities they "had available" for flight. Chicago was the closest city. The flights were 2 layovers there, 2 layovers back. Being advised that "the trip is now in the system" and I can not change the itinerary now, either I take it or forfeit. Forfeiting with Spirit Incentives and getting the registration refund is by far the best option. How they keep their license must be a very fine line.

Scam and fraud!
We bought this travel voucher for 50.00 along with a time share demo. We have yet to schedule our vacation. They keep sending the certificate back saying that the dates are not available. Their intent is to discourage you enough that you will cut your losses and give up. Do not deal with them. I talked with someone named Grace at this company. She said to call her if I had any more problems. Well guess what? She is never available!

No reimbursement!
They offer a gas reimbursement card. When you send it in, with your receipt of purchase for $10 or more (and a self addressed envelope) they'll reimburse you for the amount of purchase up to $10. They promise to do this in 6 - 8 weeks; I sent in my material on Oct 24 - and I'm still waiting. No, I haven't been cheated, etc. But they seem to be displaying a distinct reluctance to fulfill their offer.

Scam
Let me tell you my story. I received the certificate after attending a vacation plan meeting (supposed to be 60min and took almost 4hrs). This was in October 2006. The certificate is for a 4 days and 3 nights accommodations at a Ramada or Holiday Inn hotel in Orlando Florida, plus 2 adult passes to Medieval Times; Universal Studios or $450 Bonus (your choice). I activated the certificate and sent the $50.00 “good faith deposit” (more like a stupid payment you won’t see in a loooooooong time) via certified mail with return receipt on 11/06/2006. They’re really smart because they don’t sign the return receipt they just punch it (11/09/06). So I received another letter 11/20/06 asking for the traveling dates. Selected the traveling dates and sent it back to them. Then received another letter telling me that the dates weren’t in chronological order (a lot of bs to let time pass by). Sent them back the dates in chronological order 12/26/06. I received another letter asking me if I wanted to continue with the second and third travel dates since the FIRST one is NEVER AVAILABLE (but when you call the hotels they have plenty of rooms available). Marked yes and sent it back 01/26/07. Then I received yet another letter telling me that the SECOND DATE wasn’t available so I marked yes on the third date and sent it back 03/02/07. Didn’t received any other letter until 8/27/07 (date on the letter but it was received on 9/12/07) telling me that they were in the final booking stages of my “promotional travel” and to send a payment of $29.25 for the taxes and fees. I sent the payment on 09/16/07.
I have been calling this people since the first letter overall I have called them more than 47 times in a 10 month period. My third and last travel date is 10/24/07 (yes this next Wednesday) and I haven’t received any letter or call to confirm my reservation. I’m waiting until 9am to call them very very very MAD. Last time I called they told me that the processing department had my documents and should contact me soon (this was 10/18/07). They cashed the check for the taxes and fees two weeks ago. LET’S SEE WHAT’S THEIR EXCUSE NOW. I wILL kEEP yOU pOSTED.
If I don't get what I was promised I'm going to the Better Business Bureau, The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and DACO (Departamento de Asuntos al Consumidor) Consumer Affairs Department in Puerto Rico were they gave me the stupid voucher.

For off season travel only!
My husband and I got married in May, for our wedding present my friend was going to send us on a cruise through Spirit Incentives. I was very excited, I had never been on a cruise and my husband and I weren't exactly going on a honey moon, we were traveling overseas with both our families, so we figured we could use this cruise for our first anniversary and have a real honeymoon.
I sent in all the information, my travel dates and what not, about a month later I received a notice saying that my dates did not meet the Terms of Agreement, so I called them to see when I could go on this cruise, they then told me that my certificate was only valid during the off season months: September- April, which that is the time of the year that I cannot take any vacation time from work until May. My husband and I were quite upset, as we were looking forward to a few days alone, and our friend who gave us the tickets was also upset.
This thing is a SCAM, please do not book travel through them its more hassle and time consuming than anything!!

No honor!
I received a free cruise vacation package from my timeshare company from the company Spirit Incentives. I submitted all of the information as per Spirit Incentives request. This included the $100.00 refundable deposit and dates of travel. I specifically went over the dates of travel with one of their representatives via phone call in December 2006. I submitted the dates via USPS of that same year. I waited for a period of time then I called to make sure they received my info. They told me they didn't, so I re-sent the copy of the dates via USPS certified mail (the green form) in 2007. It is now close to the travel dates and I decided to call because I had not heard from them. Well, they informed me they didn't received the 2nd copy of the dates (that I sent Certified Mail) and that they are not going to honor my vacation because I didn't have a return receipt with a signature saying that they received it. I have my copy of the certified receipt with the date I sent it. Not only are they calling me a liar but the USPS a liar as well. I was looking forward to this vacation as I was bringing a friend along for her birthday and much needed rest. I would not suggest doing business with them. They do not honor their agreements.

Getting the run around
We drove three hours to a resort to receive a "free " cruise and missed time from work for a scam. When I called the company they put me on hold and acted as if none of the dates I requested were available. The long distance phone call got me nowhere! I ended up canceling my trip after reading all the other customers complaints. Hopefully, I will receive my deposit back, what a JOKE!
