Hey, Everyone, I used to karaoke with spotlights DJ Anne Godfrey at
both Lumpy's Bar and Grill, & The Point After sports bar. it's SLOW at
the Point, I asked Anne to give me some advice from a womans
perspective when she had 5 min. (I met a girl at Lumpy's, wanted to
ask that girl to spend some time with me, wanted a womans feedback,
B'cuz we all know what a guy would say.) & Anne was a constant at the
bar, where as most of the other women there were essentially
strangers. We had talked B4, and she almost ALWAYS had time. This time
however, she said, I'm really busy, if I get 5 min. I will. I waited
all night, while she talked to everyone else. upon another inquiry,
she said, "I'm to busy mingling to talk to you, I just haven't had 5
min" What a joke, huh? I can't imagine that i's easier to lie to, and
evade someone ALL NIGHT, than to just say, "I don't feel comfortable,
or I can't talk about that.", but she lied to me like I had brain
damage. I went to Lumpy's the next week, NOT to karaoke, I wasn't
gonna do that. I sat at the opposite end of the bar, and waited to see
if this chic Amber would come down, I was gonna go home at 10 if she
didn't show. Unfortunatly, Anne recognized me, and came over, and
asked how I was, "A little sad.", " I replied, "Why?", she asked. "I
turned to someone as a friend last week, and the lied to me, wasted my
time, and TOTALLY blew me off.", "I'm sorry." she said. with my
personality, I had no choice but to say, "I forgive you." she made some
explanations, and (probably fake) apologies., and I felt bad for the
tactful letter of complaint that I had written to The Point, Who's
manager I called and told him, destroy it, and forget you ever saw it.
I had not given the identical letter to Lumpys management yet. she had
told me she was sorry, and I believed her (never will that happen
again.) since I am honest, and sincere, I apologized profusely to her,
and showed her the letter, and told her I would retract it from The
Point. what she said about Amber was that she hadn't seen her there
B4, and didn't know if she ever would again, and wrote me a list of
karaoke bars that had a high populace of women at them (really kind,
but Amber was special, and she was the only one I was interested in.)
I thanked her graciously anyways, and she convinced me to do the
karaoke thing after all. I have ALWAYS been REALLY good to Anne,
tipped her 4 every song, replied to applause with, "Let's hear it for
Anne!", and 1 in 4 times said, "Remember DJ's need tips too!" the next
time I went to Lumpy's, they told me I was not welcome, due to, "The
Incedent." I had NO CLUE WTF they were talking about. BUT, as it
turned out, Anne used the letter I showed her against me, And I am
sure she made up some lies, said I was an ass, or harassed her, or
something, as it turns out, she got me 86'ed from every bar spotlight
is involved with. to me this is comparable to giving a restaurant good business for a
long time, and then complaining that your toast was burnt, and you
were shorted on your change, and having them tell you you are not
welcome there anymore. So be warned if you karaoke w/ spotlight (in the SLC, UT area) they
are unscrupulous, and Anne (attracive, w/ long blonde hair), in
particular, should under no means be trusted, I would recommend you
have NOTHING to do with her, or spotlight entertainment!
